Jim is an Excellent Sales Rep. He must have walked 20 miles that day, I went into the dealership. He traveled from his desk to Tim Williams desk numerous times to try to make this deal happen. I finall miles that day, I went into the dealership. He traveled from his desk to Tim Williams desk numerous times to try to make this deal happen. I finally asked for his bottom line price and he gave it to me $348 but I disagreed and said $343. The car I was looking at was a Toyota Camry Hybrid LE 2013. The payments were finalized at $343.00 a month. However, it was much more a month then a competitor Toyota dealership. I found this out after making the deal with Tim Williams however, Tim also made me put down a down payment of $600 to show we had a deal, so I did. Once I went home, I put on my computer and went to truecar.com. And to my surprise the payments a month were much cheaper online then what i negotiated with Tim. Though, I had a leased vehicle which I owed $1500 on and I was turning that in. I thought this had something to do with my payments being on the higher side. Once again I was wrong. When the other dealership got involved, I told them of my situation of having $1500 negative equity and I am in the Reserves. They told me not to worry about it and they will do what they could for me. The other dealership told me I qualify for $1000 rebate for being in the Reserves. Toyota of Warren said they didn’t think I qualified for rebate however, once I told them the other dealership said I do qualify, they then read the policy and they came back with a "YES" I qualify. Why didn’t they check this out beforehand? By the time the deal was done I saved $33 dollars a month on a 15K miles a year lease, with the other dealership on the same vehicle my payments went down to $290 for a 12K mile lease or $310 for a 15K mile lease. Also, these payments have the $1500 negative equity in them. Then Toyota of Warren said they will "MATCH it". (REALLY) However, I then inquired about Camry Hybrid XLE my payments at Toyota of Warren $343 (this payment is what my payment was on the LE model) at the other dealership $338, guess where I went? I went back to Toyota of Warren to get back my deposit. I then talked to Tim Williams; he then told me if he was Tino Merlo, General Manager, he would NOT allow me to service my new vehicle at Toyota of Warren. He said Tim won’t say it but if I were him I wouldn’t let you. (In today economy is this really how you want to treat people?) We agreed to disagree on how I negotiated and moved on. I then went into Tino's office to get my deposit back and he did so. Actually, after talking with Tino, he is a very nice guy and I felt bad for negotiating this way but it all comes down to my pocket book. Also, it’s about treating people the right way. I didn’t mention that I talked to Tim outside but should have. My discussion with Tim outside was just the icing on the cake. Toyota of Warren could have dropped my payments by another $20 dollars, but because of Tim's comments I still would NOT have boughten a car here. Finally, I got more car for right around what I would have paid for the base model hybrid. Bottom line is do your homework and get a couple of competitors to compete. Also, DO NOT take a car off the lot to take it home. Once you take the car off the lot this is binding. I would recommend a dealership in Boardman. EXCELLENT to deal with... More
The sales team lied about the condition of the car, and they acted nicely until I signed the documents then they turned 180 degrees! They never returned my calls after I drove the car off their lot. This they acted nicely until I signed the documents then they turned 180 degrees! They never returned my calls after I drove the car off their lot. This is my worst experience ever, and will never recommend this dealership to anyone. More

I refinanced the car on January 8 with my credit union with a lower interest rate and cancelled the GAP insurance on January 9, 2012. It is now March 5 and I have not received the $800+ from the insurance company. They told me that they never received the paperwork. I tried to reach the credit person, Greg, at the dealership several times before I just went down there and talked with the general manager and him. He gave me a copy of the paperwork dated Jan. 9 and faxed it to the company in my presence. I called the insurance company when I got home and they had no copy of anything sent - does the dealership have the correct address and number? I now have to wait an additional 6-8 weeks for this refund even after I talked with the insurance company and the manager again. Their response was less than satisfactory during the entire ordeal as they did not do a follow-up of the original cancellation nor try to expedite my refund. I called their main offices and Chicago and they said they would expedite; I filed a negative report with Toyota's main office in California. Now let's see how long it takes to complete this transaction which is already 8 weeks old. More
