The staff is friendly, helpful, not at all pushy and very eager to build lasting relationships with it's customers. Some specifics... Kevin was a phenomenal salesperson. He answered every question I had and was extremely helpful and accommodating. He went the extra mile to make sure I not only understood what I was getting, but was left very happy. My experience with salespeople in the past in other dealerships has always been at the point of pushiness (which typically makes me turn around and walk out the door!), the salespeople often do not have a firm grasp of the product they sell and once they have your commitment to buy they can't be bothered with you. Kevin is the polar opposite of all that. Not only did he know his stuff, but he treated me like a valued customer and not a mark. From the very first time I could see how my relationship with him was going to be as he jockeyed around the two trucks I was looking at (Toyota Tacoma and FJ Cruiser) in different configurations, on a sweltering hot day and let them cool off for me to get in test drives. After going through the process, I knew exactly what I wanted and haven't the slightest tinge of "gee maybe I should have bought the other car...". Once I had decided on the Tacoma, (Haltermans did not have it in Barcelona red as I was hoping for),Kevin never pressured me to buy something I did not want just to make the sale, and he went out of his way to locate the exact truck I wanted and with low miles to boot (only 40!). I can't say enough about how pleased I was and rest assured if I know anyone looking for a new car (even if it's not a Toyota since I think I am now sold on the brand as well) I am going to do my best to steer them towards Kevin at Halterman's. This guy is tops! My experience with Sarah Brown was not nearly as long, but nonetheless a great experience. She conducted the financing and paperwork portion of the evening. She was very nice, very professional and answered every question I had. It was very much like chatting with a friend in terms of how personable she was. Usually the financing portion of the sale is the most nerve-wracking, in this case it was a complete breeze, and that is because of Sarah. She not only knew what she was doing but she made the experience pleasant. Honorable mention has to go to Dave Sherb. He is the general manager at Halterman's and despite my whole deal being done after closing hours, he waited until the transaction was conducted, came out, shook my hand and thnked me for the business. This may seem like a small thing to some, but in the 3 or 4 times I previously purchased a new vehicle this never happened. That little extra step shows what a professional atmosphere there is at Halterman's and undoubtedly, Dave's good habits and style have had a positive impact on his team. This time it was a Tacoma. Maybe in a few years I'll be back for the Tundra:) I do not know if Mr. Halterman goes out to this site and reads the reviews on his employees but he should.
