Toyota of Midland does not post prices online, has inventory at other locations, promises information and options, then ceases all contact. inventory at other locations, promises information and options, then ceases all contact. More
So Sad and a total representation of how far America has fallen. I see a new Toyota I want and fill out the form on their website... a dealer calls me, nice guy, and then tells me the pickup is in stock an fallen. I see a new Toyota I want and fill out the form on their website... a dealer calls me, nice guy, and then tells me the pickup is in stock and we arrange to meet later that day. On the sticker their is a fee for $5,895 that reads "Add-ons & Dealer Fees". I asked him what add-ons made up the $6k. He quickly responds, "That's a market adjustment price that we add to all our vehicles but we're one of the few dealerships that is honest and upfront about it." "Honest and upfront"? I laughed, "You have the price intentionally mislabeled and disguised as value to the vehicle when it's not... you're exactly the opposite of honest and upfront." He then quickly replied, "This car is worth more money once you drive it off the lot so it's only fair we don't lose money." Again, I laughed, "Interesting, in all the years I've purchased vehicles - never once did any dealership in the country have a discount line item on the price because once I drove it off the lot it was worth less than what I paid for... but now, Toyota of Midland makes the decision to screw their local customers over?" Conversely, I drove over to Lithia Toyota in Odessa and their actually selling their new cars at MSRP and without a "market adjustment (screw our customers)" price. I purchased the vehicle from Lithia and gave them a 5-star review. Toyota of Midland represents the worst kind of business tactics and people in this country. It's sad they're praying on the local Midland/Odessa community and, as always, these types of tactics hurt the disadvantaged people the most - people that are desperate for a a new vehicle and get prayed on by companies like this.
