Title: Bait-and-Switch, Dishonest Deal Changes, and Invasive Practices - Stay Away This was one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever had. I would strongly warn anyone to avoid Toyota of Anaheim unless you want to deal with misleading tactics and wasted time. I negotiated a very clear out-the-door price (~$43,000) that explicitly included everything -- taxes, DMV fees, doc fees, and a KARR alarm system. This was confirmed before moving forward. This was also a straightforward all-cash purchase with excellent credit, so there were zero financing complications -- it should have been one of the simplest transactions possible. Then came the finance office -- and that's where everything fell apart. When I reviewed the paperwork, I discovered that the KARR alarm system had been quietly removed from the deal. No explanation, no disclosure -- just gone. When I pointed it out, the finance manager suddenly "acted confused," pulled in other staff (none of whom were involved in my original negotiation), and then tried to claim the alarm was never included. Let's be clear -- this is a bait-and-switch tactic. They agree to one deal to get you in the door, then try to change the terms at signing and hope you don't notice or feel pressured to go along with it. On top of that, they required me to provide a thumbprint, saying it would be stored for 5 years for "identity theft purposes." This was AFTER verifying my identity and running my credit (which came back excellent). For an all-cash deal, this demand was invasive, unnecessary, and completely out of line. At this point, it was obvious what was going on: * The negotiated deal was not being honored * Terms were being changed at the last second * The process relied on confusion, pressure, and questionable policies I refused to play along and walked out immediately. This dealership may operate under a major brand, but the way they handle customers is completely untrustworthy. If they're willing to change agreed terms right in front of you at signing, you have to question everything else they do. Bottom line: Do not trust verbal agreements here. Get everything in writing and verify every detail -- or better yet, take your business somewhere that actually operates with honesty and transparency More
Felix is knowledgeable about Hybrid, better than other Toyota sales people that we have experience. Easy to talk to and put us at ease. I asked for Warranty paperwork and wheel lock. But never got satisfactory answers at all. These are not hard questions but did not provide the answers I wanted in texts and emails. Even though they are Group 1 Auto with a core value of servicing customers, just seems like a typical auto dealer. More

The service here is bad. I wouldn’t recommend if u have to fix any. I got a flat tire and it was clear there was a nail on the side of the tire. I had a tire and wheel protection but I was told my tire & wheel protection wouldn’t cover a flat tire without any inspection. They didn’t even try to file a claim and keep telling they(insurance) gonna decline my claim. I went to another Toyota dealership and they immediately accepted and submitted the claim. Disappointed with the incorrect information. Don’t ever go there. Go to other Toyota Dealers. Way better than this. More
