DO NOT TRUST! very shady and dishonest dealership. not to mention staff is disrespectful. After looking at a vehicle they told us they couldn’t agree to our price, very shady and dishonest dealership. not to mention staff is disrespectful. After looking at a vehicle they told us they couldn’t agree to our price, that they didn’t even have $100 to take off as wiggle room. later that evening they called and agreed to our price if we’d come tomorrow. we said okay we will be there. drove back the next day (2.5hrs). as we’re filling out paperwork, they run mine and my husbands credit (mind you at this point we’ve offered a deposit 3x and they said it wasn’t necessary we were doing paperwork). we even initially wanted to pay cash for the car but they said finance helps them and I was ok with it as I needed a few months of payments to help my credit after my identity got stolen. about 2 min after they hit both our credits they came in and said sorry another guy has agreed to buy the car so it’s a done deal. laughed when we expressed our frustration. come to find out the other people hadn’t even started on the paperwork but wanted to buy the extended warranty so they lied to us to make the extra dollar. VERY poor business practices. in the end I’m so thankful we didn’t get the car as i see if that’s the moral ground this business runs off- I wouldn’t trust that any car on their lot is sound and listed as they say. especially since I’ve now read many reviews stating they have a long known reputation for business like this. Worst experience of my 60 years of car buying. Sales managers were rude, sold a car out from under me after price was agreed on and credit was approved. In my 45 years as a professional business person I have never dealt with a dealership and or any customers as poorly at this dealership handled my potential purchase. I plan on contacting the Bureau of Consumer Protection, and the Better Business Bureau in my area to report Town East Ford unethical dealings. Will also be seeking legal advice on how to best damage the dealership already scared reputation. Best recommendations is to stay as far away from Town East Ford as possible. More
