Tonkin Wilsonville Nissan – Out‑of‑State Purchase Experience I purchased a vehicle out of state through the dealership’s internet sales department (Chris). When the vehicle arrived, the odometer r Experience I purchased a vehicle out of state through the dealership’s internet sales department (Chris). When the vehicle arrived, the odometer reading was significantly higher than what was represented during the sales process and documented in the signed contract. In my view, this constitutes a serious misrepresentation of the vehicle’s condition. I also paid the dealership several thousand dollars for state sales tax, title, registration, and licensing fees with the understanding that they would submit the required paperwork to the Arizona MVD. To date, I have received no confirmation that any documents were submitted, and will be unable to legally operate the vehicle once the temporary permit expires. Collecting fees for a service and failing to perform that service is, in my opinion, a breach of their contractual obligations. Additionally, the vehicle was delivered with the roof rack removed and multiple exposed holes in the roof. These holes were not disclosed at any point during the transaction, nor were the necessary components provided to properly seal the vehicle. This exposes the interior and electrical systems to weather damage and, based on my understanding of Oregon consumer‑protection standards, appears inconsistent with the requirements of the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act. I contacted the dealership directly and was told that management had been made aware of the situation. However, I have not received any follow‑up, proposed resolution, or acknowledgment of the issues since that initial communication. As a result, I have filed formal complaints with both the Oregon Department of Justice Consumer Protection Division and the Better Business Bureau. Based on my experience — and after reviewing similar concerns raised by other customers — I am worried that my situation may not be an isolated incident. I strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase from this dealership to exercise caution. More

Absolutely terrible and dishonest dealership. They sold my wife a car at full price as if it had a clean history, but completely hid the fact that it had been in an accident. They didn’t even show a Carfax—she had to pull it herself AFTER the purchase to find out the truth. The car wasn’t even ready for sale. It was dirty and unprepared when she picked it up, and she had to go back a week later just to make them clean it. When she returned the car, they tried to blame HER for the accident—even though the Carfax clearly shows the damage happened long before she ever bought it. They pressured her into paying an extra $1,000 just to avoid dealing with them further. This is straight-up misleading and dishonest business. We are now taking legal action. Do NOT trust this dealership. Verify everything yourself. More
