**UPDATE** So I got a call from Mitch, the general sales manager regarding my experience. Discussed with him how it went, etc. He seemed genuinely concerned with my overall experience and lack of proper com manager regarding my experience. Discussed with him how it went, etc. He seemed genuinely concerned with my overall experience and lack of proper communication between his various staff. I explained that I don't hold grudges and as far as I was concerned, I basically moved on. However to my surprise, he offered the KARR security system (one of the issues I had posted about), at no charge! He got the installer to come to my place, install it and explained how it works. Now this blew me away as you don't normally get someone to follow up with you and provide an additional service on the house. This tells me that Timmon's VW of Long Beach really "do" care and want the best for their customers. So while my original review still stands, I had to add this update to show that Timmon's VW took the time and effort to reach out and make amends. THAT is customer service! And my original star rating was 2, but now bumped up to 4. So I'll now have to reconsider and add Timmon's VW back on the top of my car shopping list for replacing my other car, which will most likely be sometime early to mid next year. (see below for original post) --------------------------------------------------------- Friendly people and they talk of great deals but that's where it ends. I had high expectations and respect while going into the dealership and chatting with various people. Unfortunately, when it came down to working out deals, you basically get shafted and words are not kept, discounts originally pitched are retracted and in the end, you feel like you just dealt with an old-school style used car salesman tactics. Here's all the ways that led me to give barely two stars... 1. They call and say they just got stock of the "exact" car we're looking for. We show up, and it's not. Rather these are the highest and second highest trims, which we were NOT interested in. 2. Seriously low-ball offer of a trade in.... didn't even budge on it. 3. Promises of $$ discount in person, then later also on voicemail... of which I still have saved. Did I get it? Nowhere close. And to add insult to injury, they absolutely denied they even said that.... even though I have the literal voice recording. 4. After I take the new car home and a couple days later, I discover instead of getting a sticker item (dealer installed alarm that I'm sure you're familiar with) for no cost AS PART OF THE DEAL, they instead remove it and pretend we got $$ off the price. Then they had the audacity to say they're willing to add it back "at cost". 5. I had to argue about having the "Clear Shield" protection on the car. It also was suppose to come with the deal at no charge, then I find out that it's not in the contract. After much back and forth, they relent and send me the paper works on it. I also have proof of the exchange via email. Did I still end up getting a new car with them? Yes but with a buyer's remorse. We ended up buying a higher trim than what I wanted, paying more but getting LESS, & getting the crappiest deal for a trade in. I can forgive them for points #1, 2 & 5, but #3 & #4 really left me feeling shafted and with a bad taste in my mouth. Ultimately, it's my fault for not paying attention to every little detail and scrutinizing every print and things written down or not written down. BUT, I hope I can at least spare the same fate to other would-be car shoppers and say, "Move on. There's other VW dealerships that might treat you better". More
Just an awesome group of people, working together to make a great deal for the customer. Jessy V. was my sales consultant, Tin P handled the finance side of things. Jessy was easy going, yet determined to fi a great deal for the customer. Jessy V. was my sales consultant, Tin P handled the finance side of things. Jessy was easy going, yet determined to find the ID.4 I wanted, and Tin made the finance side work smoothly. No distractions, no surprises, no last minute changes, the deal was the deal from start to finish. xxxxxxalso to Michael A and Randle P who chatted about cars and kept me stocked up on water while the administrative stuff progressed. It's great to see an entire team focused on the customer experience. Seriously, go see these folks. More

NEARLY KILLED! !!… ….Yet NO ACCOUNTABILITY taken by Timmons VW of Long Beach: 5/10/23 Oil change service provided by Timmons VW. 5/15/23 Oil light began blinking !!… ….Yet NO ACCOUNTABILITY taken by Timmons VW of Long Beach: 5/10/23 Oil change service provided by Timmons VW. 5/15/23 Oil light began blinking while driving on I-15 to Las Vegas. Moments later - dash lights galore as engine catches fire. Escaped burning vehicle with the few belongings I could grab before the car was incinerated by fire. 5/17/23 Upon returning home(after taking Greyhound bus to visit my ill mother) fresh pool of oil discovered under where the vehicle had been parked 5/10-5/15. 5/18/23 Fresh oil also discovered under where the vehicle had been parked at workplace on 5/15. Store Manager Mitch and Service Manager Luis(especially) not willing to admit they did not properly seal the oil system at time of service. After showing photos of incinerated vehicle and fresh oil pool, Mitch admitted, “That looks like oil.” They offered theories such as: maybe your arm was blocking the dash lights(insulting AND irrelevant at the same time) and the vehicle wouldn’t do that(well it already did). We were told “Probably” and “Most likely” they caused the fire but offered no compensation. They were then quick to remind us “We didn’t make you take the bus to work” referring to a temporary loaner vehicle. Two words gentlemen… GROSS NEGLIGENCE! We only asked for our 10 year-old VW Jetta to be replaced with a similar type vehicle. They made it clear that our vehicle(and potentially my life) was not worth a replacement 10 year-old vehicle, even with the backing of the $306,890,000,000(yes $306 billion) in 2023 revenue VW corporation. This is a particularly sad case as BOTH my wife AND I were once proud VW owners spending thousands of dollars at VW dealerships to ensure our VWs were well maintained through 10 years of ownership. I truly wish I could say 10 “PLUS” years of ownership but, because of GROSS NEGLIGENCE on the part of Timmons VW of Long Beach, we will be at the Toyota dealership across town(taking on a new car loan out of our own pockets). Two last words… TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY! More
