I bought my car at Tim Lally Chevrolet in 2017. I have taken it there for service every year since. They have friendly and competent staff in their service department. CAME IN FOR A OIL CHANGE, WHEN DONE MATT TOLD ME CABLES ON MY 2021 C-8 NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, NO MENTION OF WHY CABLES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED OR TO SHOW ME WHAT WAS BROKEN DAMAGED ETC. IN FIVE YEARS THE TOP HAS BEEN DOWN 10 TIMES AT THE MOST, DOSENT SAY MUCH FOR GM QUALITY. $150 OIL CHANGE YOU WOULD THINK LALLY WOULD WASH THE CAR. My wife made an appointment for an oil change at 11:00 to do a ride-along with a mechanic to identify an unusual sound coming from the engine. She had brought it in prior visits but the mechanic couldn't re do a ride-along with a mechanic to identify an unusual sound coming from the engine. She had brought it in prior visits but the mechanic couldn't replicate it. She finally got out of there at 2:48pm, but only when she put her foot down and indicated she needed to leave. The Service Manager said they couldn't find her so the mechanic did the test drive on his own and not surprisingly, couldn't replicate the sound. This was the whole point of her sitting there was to replicate it for him. They couldn't have looked very hard because she was sitting in their movie area the whole time. Then she was given some excuses of staffing due to vacations, etc. If this is the case they should have planned accordingly. Arguably one of the worst displays of communication and customer service. More
