I took my car in for routine service and as I was paying I noticed the wrong weight oil was used. Chevrolet released a new oil recommendation, I requested the new oil be used. I was just going to ask that they make a note for next time. Instead they offered to drain the oil and use the new oil. 30 minutes later all done. Everyone makes mistakes, it was nice to see them step up like that. More

Easy scheduling The scheduling is pretty easy and I’ve always gotten my vehicle back the same day. Minor things happen, but they take care of it right away. Buyer Beware I am very disappointed with Sunset Chevrolet and angry with myself for trusting them. What should have been an exciting experience has turned into a I am very disappointed with Sunset Chevrolet and angry with myself for trusting them. What should have been an exciting experience has turned into a very sad one for me. When I look at my truck it is a constant reminder of how naive I was and how deceptive the dealership was. I want to be excited and happy with my purchase but I find myself awake in the middle of the night dwelling on what I should have done different, beating myself up over it and how I was just a big fat dollar sign to the dealership with “Sucker” written all over me, thinking they would have my best interest at heart and would treat me like they would their own family and friends is my mistake, I am embarrassed that I got “taken”. The truck I was looking for they didn’t have, I wanted a Colorado, WT extended cab with V-6, they said, no problem we can do a dealer trade and they told me the truck they found was black with some options added, it sounded perfect, they said they only add 7.5% for profit over dealer cost which seemed more than reasonable, what they didn’t tell me is what the dealer cost was or the correct MSRP for the vehicle, I had nothing to go on but their word since the truck was not on their lot. They then told me that the vehicle was still in transit from the factory and would take 1-2 weeks for arrival directly to them. After signing the paperwork and going home, I searched the VIN number and found my truck listed on Auburn Chevrolet’s website as a “Recent Arrival” and the ad price before rebates was $30,340.00 which was the MSRP, I was charged $32,937.00 before rebates, taxes, warranty, etc…., that’s $2,597.00 more than MSRP and well above dealer cost. When I contacted Amber, my salesperson to let her know that I found the truck online and it was in Auburn, she said, “Yes, Auburn ordered it, but it is still in transit and will be delivered directly to us”, after that I couldn’t get her or anyone else to explain to me why Auburn would list it as being in stock with a stock # if it wasn’t actually on their lot, when I went down to Auburn the next day, they said that the truck hadn’t even left the factory, I questioned why they would advertise it as being in stock if it was still at the factory and the conversation ended right then and he wouldn’t answer me, they changed the ad a few days later to say “in transit” and removed the stock # but I got a screen shot of the ad prior. I also have not had one person answer why they would charge me more for the truck than if I had just went to the Auburn dealership and bought it from them directly which would have been easier since I live only a few miles from the Auburn dealership and I would have gotten it sooner because it turns out they did take delivery of the truck after all according to Chevy customer service. There was no advantage for me to get it from Sunset Chevrolet, just a nearly $2600.00 disadvantage. I don’t understand the cover up except that maybe making a sale at any cost is more important than doing what’s right for the customer, now I am paying the price. So after filling out their 3 question survey and relaying my frustration and concerns to them and Chevy customer service, multiple times, I still have not heard back from anyone at Sunset, they have made no attempt to turn things around for me and make me feel like I didn’t make a huge mistake buying from them. The honest thing to have done if they couldn’t get the truck for me at the same price as Auburn had it listed for, would be to tell me that upfront, but it’s very hard to find sales people with integrity these days. Word of advice, before signing any papers, get the VIN# and google it, dealers must honor listed prices in their ads and advertising vehicles as being available when they haven’t taken delivery of them yet is bait and switch. Under most circumstances you should be able to get a new car/truck for the MSRP or less, if not, move on and save yourself the heartache I have experienced. More

Service department was taking the engin Took car in with Engine and Traction light on. Waited 3 days for a call, but I had to call to find out status. Service department was taking the engine apart, then waiting for the warranty company to come look at the dismantled engine. I called again for update since I hadn't heard. Now Sevice was waiting for a second warranty rep to come look to verify what should be done and what's covered. Finally car was repaired and I went to pick up. Car was filthy with bird poop all over. The loaner car I was given was filthy inside and out. I had to clean and vacuum for it to be presentable. After looking at the invoice I'll need to call and talk with the service manager about items listed that said I refused to have repaired. I did not refuse any work. Disappointed with my almost 5 week repair. Happy with how much the warranty covered of the $7,560 bill. More
