I called Suburban Ram and spoke to Rick Poe about a truck I wanted to buy. This was going to be a logistical nightmare for me due to my circumstances but Suburban had the exact used truck/features I wanted I wanted to buy. This was going to be a logistical nightmare for me due to my circumstances but Suburban had the exact used truck/features I wanted and at a price I had to act on. I said to Rick, "I'm active duty military currently living in S. Korea, 7 days from now I'll be in Texas on orders so I'll need sign the sales documents remotely, then register the truck in Alaska, and have it shipped to me or held at the lot until the end of the month because I can't leave Texas to take delivery until my course is complete." I asked Rick if he could do that. He paused for a moment and said "yeah, I can do that". This was not the answer that I had received from many other dealers, they didn't want the headache. A complex deal that required a bit of work and patience was not something that any dealer wanted to bother with in the current high-demand sellers market of the auto sales industry. Rick understood this was a deal that I was ready to make, and a deal is a deal. Despite the headache I'm sure he knew was coming he politely asked me for a deposit and almost 5 weeks later we shook hands and I drove away with ZERO buyers remorse and the best vehicle purchase experience I've ever had. Rick won't sugar coat anything. He'll tell you like it is when it comes to what can and can not happen regarding your deal. I asked for a lot and got most of it from him and Suburban Ram. If you are the type of individual who appreciates a no-nonsense approach to car buying and prefer a sales associate who will never over promise and under deliver, then talk to Rick. I had a concern with the mirror on my vehicle, he showed me that he special ordered the part and when it comes in that I am first on the list to receive it and have it installed, other dealerships and dealers told me to walk if I didn't like the condition of the vehicle, not Robert, he even offered me to borrow his car while the repairs get done. (Will not be needed but it speaks to his character as a person) This is my second vehicle purchase, first going solo and he was patient, kind, unbelievably awesome through out. I can not recommend him enough, and this dealership earned a customer due to his diligence, response time (not 10 minuets after I sent my info for follow up he called) and making sure there were no hiccups from start to finish.
