WORST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE EVER! BUYERS BEWARE Absolute WORST experience of dealing with a car dealership in my 30 years of purchasing vehicles. As this would be an overly long post if I were to w Absolute WORST experience of dealing with a car dealership in my 30 years of purchasing vehicles. As this would be an overly long post if I were to write you the play by play interactions with this deceitful outfit of a dealership. My initial interactions were with MATT HOGAN (Internet Sales) and ALANJONES via phone and e-mail correspondence due to my distance from the dealership. I had come to an agreement with Al Jones over the phone of a trade-in value of my vehicle and the purchase price on their used 2019 Ford Raptor. All the numbers were agreed upon and I even reluctantly gave my information to have the credit pulled so he could provide me the exact interest rate I would qualify for and ease the transaction process prior to driving the 2 1/2 hours on Friday, 6 Dec 19. I arrived at approximately 1:30 pm on that Friday afternoon (taking leave from work to purchase this vehicle.) Prior to my arrival, Alan JONES indicated that BUD LACOCK would handle all the paperwork as he had a medical procedure that would keep him from being there. Up to this point, absolutely no issues with my dealings with the dealership. At this point, I am offered a walk around of the RAPTOR and notice damage to the passenger rear tail light/bumper area. The tail light was cracked and had condensation inside the tail light. The bumper was pushed in just below the tail light with a scratch on the bumper and body of the vehicle. Anyone with an eye for detail would have noticed this damage. My assessment was they were trying to pass off this damaged vehicle to the new buyer. In addition to the damage, the vehicle was not detailed whatsoever. In all my years buying vehicles, they have ALWAYS been detailed and spotless before taking off the lot. So after noticing this, I really become leery of what else may be wrong with this vehicle. As we drop the tailgate and look in the back of the covered bed there is trash and dirt I witness. I point this out to Mr. LACOCK and he was very apologetic and reminded me he was not originally involved with the sell of this vehicle. When I opened the hood of the vehicle, there was a stack of leaves that had built up below the windshield and engine bay certainly was not clean either. At this point, I made it clear to Mr. LACOCK that I would not be purchasing this vehicle on that day. Mr. LACOCK had his manager come out (his name escapes me) and he apologizes profusely and asks if there is any other vehicles on his lot I may want to look at. There were none. The manager, nor Mr. LACOCK offered to provide me any reimbursement for my troubles of driving 2 1/2 hours only to not purchase the vehicle. The very next day I get a call from MATT HOGAN apologizing for the condition of their vehicle and for the wasting of my time. Mr. HOGAN asked if he were to fix all the issues with that vehicle would I reconsider purchasing it. After thinking about it, I indicated I would and provided MATT HOGAN a detailed list on what I would like fixed/detailed. MATT HOGAN offered to have the vehicle brought to me once this was complete. Fast forward to Thursday evening (12 Dec). I received a text message that the vehicle was detailed and the tail light was replaced. MR. LACOCK provided a video walk around of the vehicle to confirm that every detail was addressed. I respond it looked great and please provide the details on where we will meet up. This morning, Friday (13 Dec), I received an e-mail from MATT HOGAN stating the vehicle was looking good and he will confirm the numbers on the deal and provide me instructions on when and where the exchange will take place. AT THIS POINT HE SLIPPED IN THERE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING SHOWN TO SOMEONE ELSE SO WE NEED TO HURRY. This absolutely took me back because I had given my intentions to purchase the truck the evening before. I respond to MATT HOGAN that I was disappointed that he was showing the vehicle, I reiterated that I had stated this in my text message the night before. MATT HOGAN then goes on the defensive about HENDRICKS POLICY of retaining at $1,000 deposit to take the vehicle off the market. I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THIS THE NIGHT BEFORE AND WAS LED TO BELIEVE THE VEHICLE WOULD BE MINE. I was communicating with MATT HOGAN via e-mail today only to find out that the vehicle was SHOWN and subsequently SOLD out from under me. I certainly would have put the deposit down had I known they were going to sell it out from under me. BUYERS BEWARE!! Certainly not the PATRIOTIC dealership they made themselves out to be with this MILITARY VETERAN! I urge anyone reading this far down to take your business elsewhere, they certainly do not value your time or money here. More
