Great customer service while in the dealership however there is a bit of difficulty getting ahold of the service department and getting a call back after leaving voicemails. Your Service Managers lack in follow through in regards to information about the status of vehicles or at minimum returning phone messages. I wanted to provide direct feedback on my recent experience with Southern Mazda, as it was extremely disappointing and highlighted several breakdowns in process, communication, and customer service. experience with Southern Mazda, as it was extremely disappointing and highlighted several breakdowns in process, communication, and customer service. From the start, I was quoted and shown a specific vehicle and deal structure that ultimately did not align with what was actually available. This created confusion early on and set the tone for the rest of the experience. As I moved forward in good faith, expecting consistency, I instead encountered multiple instances of misinformation and shifting details. Over the course of Saturday through Tuesday, I spent more than 15 hours at the dealership attempting to finalize this purchase. This was not due to normal negotiations, but rather ongoing inefficiencies, lack of internal alignment, and repeated need to re-address issues that should have been handled upfront. When I began asking for clarification or pushing back on discrepancies, the level of professionalism declined. Communication became defensive rather than solution-oriented, which made an already frustrating process even more difficult. The situation ultimately escalated to the point where I had to work directly with a General Manager. While I appreciated the reassignment in an effort to resolve things, the execution still fell short. On Tuesday alone, after spending approximately 8 hours at the dealership, I was presented with the wrong vehicle—a premium trim instead of the premium plus I had been working toward. I cannot say enough great things about my experience with this Mazda service center. From start to finish, my Service Advisor Mark and Master Technician Brian went completely above and beyond anything I expe this Mazda service center. From start to finish, my Service Advisor Mark and Master Technician Brian went completely above and beyond anything I expected. After dealing with ongoing issues following a windshield replacement/rain sensor re-calibration done by an outside company, I brought my vehicle in hoping to finally get some answers. Not only did the technician identify the root of the problem, he also discovered that the outside glass company just flat out did a sloppy, botched, shady job. The mounting surface for the sensor was damaged due to improper installation of the windshield glass by the other company. What truly stood out to me was the level of care and advocacy they showed. They didn’t just explain the issue, they provided detailed video evidence along with thorough written documentation to clearly support their findings. This wasn’t just about fixing my car; they genuinely wanted to help me navigate and resolve the situation with the glass repair company. Their transparency, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made an incredibly stressful situation feel more manageable. As a Registered Nurse I don’t take great service lightly. I know exactly how much effort it takes to show up for people every day. It’s rare to find a service center that treats you with this level of respect, honesty, and dedication. I’m beyond grateful for their help and It’s clear that they truly value their customers and take pride in their work. Southern Mazda should feel incredibly fortunate to have team members like Mark and Brian. Employees like this are an asset to ANY organization, and Southern needs to recognize how valuable they are.
