Out of State Buyer I was looking for a 2016 Colorado WT--plain jane. I am from SE Wisconsin and the dealerships in my area were locked on selling all Colorado vehicle a I was looking for a 2016 Colorado WT--plain jane. I am from SE Wisconsin and the dealerships in my area were locked on selling all Colorado vehicle at $500 under MSRP. After internet research in the Chicagoland area, it appeared the typical discount was around 1-2.5% off sticker. The big dealer A--------n of Chicago had a good price and I was about to purchase but expanded my search by 25 miles which now included Smith Chevy of Hammond. The first vehicle on their site was 2016 black on black LT Colorado priced $3900 under MSRP. Wow, what a difference in price AND options. On Sunday, I emailed Smith asap and then called immediately on their opening Monday morning. Valerie was knowledgeable, prompt professional and willing to sell the vehicle over the net and without the usual, "I'll check with the manager" or the internet price was a bait and hook. She said the vehicle was the one on their website, however I wanted a couple more pictures. Once the pictures were received, that same morning, I noticed the vehicle had factory running boards, pin stripping and locking lug nuts costing around $1200-1500, which really made the vehicle stand out, but I thought, well here's the add-on. When I mentioned it to Valarie she stated the add-ons were part of the deal! That priced the vehicle north of $29,000 but they honored the internet price and of course I VERY happy and impressed with the dealership's honesty and integrity to sell the vehicle at that price. Although I live 75 minutes away via the interstate, I WILL purchase all my Chevy's from SMITH! More
