Sheehy INFINITI of Chantilly

Dealership lost track of my car for 5 hours after an on-time scheduled service appointment. I recently moved to Virginia from the Seattle area. I've owned my Infiniti for 7 years taking it to dealer on-time scheduled service appointment. I recently moved to Virginia from the Seattle area. I've owned my Infiniti for 7 years taking it to dealerships in the Seattle area that entire time and scheduled an appointment with Sheehy INFINITI of Chantilly once I moved out here to get my mandatory safety and emissions inspections done to get my vehicle registered. I scheduled a morning appointment and arrived on time. I was told the inspections would take ~90 minutes and settled in the waiting room. I was told after 3 hours the vehicle work was complete it was just being washed. This was longer than expected but I understand things happen. I asked 30 minutes later what was going on with the vehicle and was told that they would check on it but did not hear back. An hour after that I just asked for my vehicle back washed or not because I needed to leave and get back to work. I was then informed that actually no work had been done on the vehicle at all and they had lost track of it for the entire day. At that point I was offered free service but turned it down since I have no faith in a dealership that was unable to even keep track of my vehicle delivered on-time for a scheduled appointment for over 5 hours. To be fair the staff was courteous and apologetic after the error was discovered, but I still have to give a 1 star rating because this is the most basic of tasks and I cannot recommend anyone use them for expensive maintenance if they cannot even keep their appointment schedule and not lose track of cars delivered for service. More
