Biggest scam in county!!! We agreed to purchase a used vehicle. We received a good deal. Then when finishing the paperwork- SURPRISE!!!! They tagged on the nitrogen fee of $179.00 and the Vehicle Theft f vehicle. We received a good deal. Then when finishing the paperwork- SURPRISE!!!! They tagged on the nitrogen fee of $179.00 and the Vehicle Theft fee of $292.00. I asked that they be removed, but they said that was not an option, that ALL of their vehicles have these fees. Really? Their response was that we got a good deal and these fees help make up the difference in the car price. This is the exact story other customers have noted. Unbelievable. I will be speaking to an attorney and will re-post when I get an answer. I will never buy any type of vehicle from them again. Very sad to think that this is the way a car dealership in Thousand Oaks makes their money- by being sneaky and dishonest. As a consolation, they gave us 2 free oil changes. UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! The dealer, on their own, contacted me and fixed this unfortunate series of events- repaid in full! I appreciate Sales Manager John McCann's explanation and taking time to meet and discuss. While I am concerned that this occurrence is not a fluke, I am hopeful that positive changes can be made for future customers and that Shaver will continue to be a beneficial and supportive business within the community. Rude, disrespectful and arrogant. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I was ready to buy and they lost my sale because apparently my business is not important to them. I worst experience I have ever had at a dealership. I was told that the ridiculous deal they offered me was the best I could do and that I would have to learn for myself why I was wrong thinking I could do better. The sales manager I worked with not only lost his temper with me but actually told me that he treats all of his customers this way and that he still makes over 20 sales a week. Obviously my time and money mean absolutely nothing to him and neither does yours. He proceeded to tell me I could only get a used base model car worth around $10,000 even though I was putting $3500 down and have over $1500 in disposable monthly income. Not only did I get a fantastic deal elsewhere (Simi Valley Kirby Jeep), with amazingly friendly people, I also got a brand new car, despite what Shaver's manager said. My new Jeep is jam-packed with extras, worth over $25,000 and I got the monthly payment I wanted. So, no regrets here other than the fact that I wasted my time and energy dealing with such a cocky, rude manager at Shaver. More

Tim was very responsive, and my only complaint is that he needs to get a better bluetooth/cellphone connection. After negotiating the price, Ira in Finance was able to get me a great interest rate on a purchase, and while I have a few days to come up with my own financing, my credit union can only beat them by $5/month. It's hardly worth the hassle. More

Marcia was friendly, honest, reliable and in no way pressured us to buy a car. She offered us an incredible price ($1300 under invoice). I would comfortable recommend Marcia or Tim to anyone looking to buy a Chrysler product. More

Not only did he offer me the hands-down best deal from numerous dealerships, but he had most of the paperwork prepared before I arrived, making my time at the dealership under an hour. Everything went so smooth and the entire staff was super friendly. It may have been record-timing car buying. And my new Jeep is GORGEOUS!!!!!! LOVE it. 2012 Jeep Patriot Latitude with touch-screen media system. I am more than happy to be in business with them!!! More

I bought my new Jeep from Tim Ott & Lozeno Loken because they were both GREAT to work with!!! One of the easiest and most stress-free car buying experiences I have ever had. It says alot about the Shaver dealership if I was willing to drive from 40 miles away to buy my new Jeep. The Shaver team was extremely friendly and listened to what I told them I was looking for and what it would take to purchase a vehicle. The Shaver Team went above and beyond what I expected and confirmed my decision to buy my first Jeep from them. I will definitely recommend that all of my friends, family, co-workers, & clients make the drive to the Shaver dealership when shopping for a new vehicle. More
I called about an internet ad for 2012 Durango. I spoke with Octavio over the phone. I came in later that day and drove the vehicle. He explained all the options and we discussed price. He was clear and transparent with the price, which I appreciated. Two days later I came back with my wife (the vehicle is for her). Octavio was patient and helpful. We settled on a Durango R/T. Octavio also worked with us on our trade-in. I feel like he gave us a fair price for the trade. Octavio was great throughout the process. I felt like we were treated honestly and fairly, which is not always the case with other dealers. I will go back to Octavio for future vehicles. He is outstanding. Ira helped us through the finance process. He was friendly and professional. The whole finance process probably took 7 minutes. All in all, it was the best dealership experience I have had in a very long time. Thanks to all at Shaver, particularly Octavio and Ira. More
