I went to get an oil change and to see what was wrong with my windshield fluid. The woman I had was not very clear on the charges. She told me a price and then wasn’t clear on what this included. Within 3 minutes of me getting the quote for the part I needed I asked her not to do the service as she said they were charging me $500 for labor and a part (a part which was $45) and I asked to not have it done there. She said it was already being done, not her fault but frustrating. Then I am told my car is done yet I waited over 20 minutes until it was actually done. During this time I was told my full price which was different then what I was quoted earlier. The lack of communication was appalling. Chris, a gentleman who was not assigned to me cause the confusion and frustration and immediately helped. If I were to ever go back I would make sure I went to him to ensure my situation was handled properly and communication was done clearly. Very disappointed but glad it worked out in the end. More
Yesterday, I had a very negative experience with Scott Honda's express service. Afterwards, it took a long time and several phone calls to get in touch with a service manager, but John Rooney did finally Honda's express service. I explained the situation to him, and I asked him how we could make the situation right. I did not feel like he heard my concerns whatsoever, and in fact he became defensive and accused me of trying to get a free service, which I absolutely was not asking for. I am a 20+ year customer of Scott Honda. I have purchased 4 cars from the dealership, and have only ever had my cars dealer-serviced at Scott. People sometimes questioned why I would still have my older cars serviced at the dealership, and I would always say that I have a great relationship with Scott Honda, and that means a lot to me. Throughout our 20 year history, I have NEVER had an issue with sales or service, and this was the first time I had to speak with a manager. I was very taken aback by Mr. Rooney's inability to listen and defensive demeanor, but mostly, I feel very sad that Scott Honda does not seem to care about their relationship with me, as a customer, as much as I thought they did. I am afraid that the integrity of this dealership has changed over the years, and not for the better. More
