Route 17 Nissan

Sales team has NO knowledge of vehicles they sell I purchased a certified pre-owned Frontier. The salesmen had absolutely no knowledge of the trucks specs and features. If you are going to sell a product, you need to know what you are selling. I added a class III tow hitch and 7 pin wiring connector to the deal. The hitch was not in stock and had to be ordered. We agreed that it would be installed during my complimentary first oil change and I would have a loaner car for the few hours they would need. I called the dealership and spoke to Nelson 3 times between the purchase of the car and my scheduled oil change. All 3 times he confirmed that the hitch was in and ready for install. All three times i specifically confirmed that is was in fact the class III hitch and 7 pin connector. All 3 times Nelson confirmed this. The day before my scheduled oil change and install I called the parts department to confirm this directly - They informed me that the hitch was not ordered and they would have it the following week. When I did go in to finally get the hitch installed i was greeted by Nelson in the parking lot. He told me to bring my car around to service and check in while he would make sure a car was ready for me. After checking in to service, they notified me that there was no loaner on my ticket and I would need manager approval. I went back to nelson and notified him, at which point he acknowledged that he wasn't aware I needed a loaner. At this moment I refused to speak with this guy anymore and asked for a manager. It took 20 minutes to get the loaner and I was finally out of there. Nelson was literally the worst sales person i ever dealt with. He shouldn't be allowed to sell the free hot dogs in the parking lot. Additionally, throughout the sale, Nelson kept reminding me to please rate him here on this site. Well...here is your rating! Andrew S. was their dealer and he also help me with getting my car on the road. Andrew did everything he could to make the car as affordable as possible for me. He's extremely friendly and personable. Unlike most car dealers, Andrew isn't pushy. He gives you time to think about what you want to do and what will be the best choice for you. I had an overall great experience and I'm happy with my choice. Buying my first car from Meadowlands Nissan was the best decision I could make. Ask for Andrew!!! More
