Paid for a Lift ride to and from my home while the work was done. As they say, that was then and this is now. Yesterday, same type of visit. Scheduled maintenance. They tried to upsell for stuff not needed. But they paid for a Lift ride home. However, they wouldn’t pay for the lift ride back to the dealership! I had no mode of transportation and they knew it. I would have waited at the dealership had I known this. The work only took an hour (was told it would take longer) and they charged $202 for labor alone. Done with anything that has the Tonkin name on it As is the rest of my family. More

I had a wonderful experience with the entire team at Ron Tonkin Honda. Victoria Latrini was my salesperson, and from the beginning she was friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in helping me find Tonkin Honda. Victoria Latrini was my salesperson, and from the beginning she was friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right car rather than simply making a sale. I was looking for a 2026 Honda Civic Sport in one of two specific colors, and Victoria worked hard to make that happen. She kept me updated throughout the search and was always responsive and helpful. Jason also went above and beyond to locate the exact vehicle I wanted and get it to the dealership. Once my car arrived, the entire purchase process was easy and enjoyable. Kyle handled the final transaction quickly and professionally. Everyone I encountered was friendly, eager to help, and respectful of my choices. I never felt pressured to settle for a vehicle or purchase anything I wasn't completely happy with. After 27 years since my last new-car purchase, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Ron Tonkin Honda, and especially Victoria Latrini. If you're looking for a Honda, I would absolutely recommend asking for her! More

Despite being 44 years old, this was actually my first time buying a car. The dealership was very accommodating, but Niketo in particular, was especially great. He was professional and honest when working with me, but most of all, he was patient. I told him this was my first time with a purchase sue as this, and he was willing to slow things down, answer endless questions, and work with me to find the right fit. The punchline is: he didn't make me feel like a fool - he made me feel welcome, and for that, I will always be grateful. I had interactions with a number of employees at this Honda location, but Niketo was the point man, and he was everything one would hope for as a guide in what can feel like an overwhelming endeavor. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ron Tonkin Honda’s service department. For years, I trusted this dealership with my 2015 Honda Civic and paid dealership prices because I believed I w Tonkin Honda’s service department. For years, I trusted this dealership with my 2015 Honda Civic and paid dealership prices because I believed I was receiving expert service. Unfortunately, my recent experience has seriously damaged that trust. In 2024, I followed the dealership’s recommended maintenance schedule and had a transmission fluid service performed. Shortly after that service, I began noticing transmission slipping and hesitation that had never been present before. Over the next year and a half, I brought these concerns to the dealership multiple times. Each time, I was told everything appeared normal. At one visit, I was told the fluid was slightly low and was topped off, but the symptoms continued. As the problem became more noticeable, I finally pushed for a deeper evaluation. I was then told by the foreman that my transmission was in very poor condition (described to me as a 7 or 8 out of 10 in severity) and that I might ultimately need a transmission replacement costing nearly $10,000—more than the value of the vehicle. Because of the seriousness of that diagnosis, I authorized another transmission fluid service and transmission computer update that were recommended as a temporary measure. Remarkably, after that service, the slipping and hesitation that I had been reporting for nearly two years largely disappeared. Wanting a second opinion before making any major decisions, I recently brought the vehicle to an independent transmission specialist. They scanned the vehicle, inspected the transmission, and found no transmission codes, no transmission faults, and no evidence that the transmission currently requires replacement. What frustrates me most is not that there was a disagreement between two shops. It is that I repeatedly reported the same concern for nearly two years, paid premium dealership service rates, was eventually told I was potentially facing a transmission replacement worth more than my vehicle, and then received a clean bill of health from a transmission specialist after the dealership’s own follow-up transmission service and software update resolved the symptoms. At this point, I would like Ron Tonkin management to review my service history and explain how these events occurred. I would welcome the opportunity to resolve this directly and professionally, but based on my experience, I cannot currently recommend this service department. More
