I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience so other buyers can make informed decisions. After weeks of researching vehicles, reviewing CARFAX reports, securing financing share my experience so other buyers can make informed decisions. After weeks of researching vehicles, reviewing CARFAX reports, securing financing, and working with the dealership, I purchased a Honda Accord from Ron Marhofer Nissan. This wasn’t just any purchase—it was meant to be my 16-year-old son’s birthday gift and his very first car, a milestone our family had been excitedly planning. I completed the paperwork and financed the purchase through USAA, one of the nation’s largest and most respected financial institutions serving military members and their families. USAA disbursed the funds via ACH to Ron Marhofer on July 2nd. Because the transfer occurred immediately before the Fourth of July holiday, there was a normal banking delay outside of my control. Instead of honoring the completed transaction and allowing the ACH transfer to post, I received a TEXT message the following day (July 3rd) from the dealership informing me that they sold the vehicle to another customer. The most disappointing part is that Ron Marhofer promotes itself as a military-supportive dealership. As a customer using financing from a military-focused bank, I expected at least a reasonable level of communication and consideration while the funds were already in transit. This wasn’t simply an inconvenience. It meant having to tell my son that the car we believed was his birthday present had been sold to someone else after we had completed the purchase process and our lender had already released the funds. This dealership had no hesitation in robbing Peter to pay Paul. More
