Great experience, great deal! First off, I would like to communicate that I live about 180 miles from this dealership (I live near long beach). My wife and I were shopping for a ne First off, I would like to communicate that I live about 180 miles from this dealership (I live near long beach). My wife and I were shopping for a new CR-V awd. There are quite a few Honda dealerships in my area; Norm Reeves Honda, Long Beach Honda, Scott Robinson Honda (Costco dealer), Hondaworld Downey, hondaworld westminster (which is full of clowns), and robertson Honda in palmdale. I visited each of these dealers (except palmdale as they would not give me a straight answer on anything) in an effort to buy a CR-V. NONE of them were willing to give me a great deal. NONE of them were willing to sell a CR-V for even 100 off MSRP. One or two of them said they were aggressive with their pricing and would make a deal. No deal was had with them as their definition of aggressive was MSRP... I drove nearly 180 miles to rockettown Honda in Lompoc to buy our CR-V. WHY??? Because Ron Hirzel at rockettown Honda was willing to give me a deal. Because we were able to sort out a deal over email and phone. Because he gave me a no xx quote on what I'd pay out the door for the CR-V. The hardest part of the deal was driving down there to pick up the car and drive it back. When the big day came around, Ron went out of his way to be at the dealership on his day off to accommodate us. He clearly spelled out all of the costs associated and ensured that there were no surprises between the quote he gave us and the final out the door sale price. When it came time to deliver the car, he was extremely helpful (a real-life helpful Honda person) in explaining all of the features in the car. One thing I regret about the purchase is not buying the all weather mats... We could not be happier with our purchase at rockettown Honda and have been telling everyone we know to consider them as the place to go to for their next Honda or Dodge or Chrysler, or Jeep. The people of Lompoc are lucky to have such a dealer in their area. Wish that we in the South bay area and orange county had Honda dealerships like rockettown.
