Buying a vehicle can be overbearing and stressful. On Saturday, October 2, 2021, I had been to 5 other dealerships and had talked to at least 4 others by phone. Finding a vehicle is hard enough during these strange times, but when trying to deal with some dealerships, it’s even harder. I had been to one dealership in Little River (not Bell and Bell) and when I asked about a truck that was lost on the internet as one price, upon arriving I was told that the truck was $9000 more than the internet price. I asked why and was told that because it was hard to get vehicles that they were adding more to the sticker. It seems that this is a form of bait and switch. One price on the internet and a higher price on the truck when I got there. Bob Adkison at Rick Hendrick Chevrolet in Charleston stayed late as did the finance person to help me in my purchase. Bob also asked if I was a Costco member and helped me in getting an added benefit that I was not aware of being available. Since it was a Saturday, some finance companies were closed. T.J., who helped me with the financing on Saturday said he would try to get a better interest rate on Monday when some of the others would be open. And he got me a better rate lowering my payments by more than $20 a month. When buying a vehicle in the future, Rick Hendrick Chevrolet will be the first place I call. I live almost 2 hours from Rick Hendrick. It was well worth the drive!!! More
