Taking advantage of the Elderly My elderly parents came into Rick Case Hyundai (Davie, FL) based on a commercial they saw on tv, stating that Rick Case could get them out of their cu My elderly parents came into Rick Case Hyundai (Davie, FL) based on a commercial they saw on tv, stating that Rick Case could get them out of their current Lease and into a New Lease with a lower payment. They were coming out of a 2016 Hyundai lease which they had never made a late payment or had any problems. They ended up with Yende Francis as their sales person.... He completely Shammed by parents!!!! He did get them into a 2017 Hyundai with a little less payment but he did not explain to them that they are turning in their 2016 lease early, so therefore there maybe some money they possible will owe. Being older and unfamiliar with the auto / lease industry, they were given the impression they could just trade in the car they have and get a new one with no additional cost to them. It is the Sales persons or the Finance managers job to be sure their clients are aware of all of their options and if there will be any backlash due to the decision the customer may make. Yende took TOTAL ADVANTAGE of this elderly couple!!! He took their 2016 Hyundai did not include it in the new deal to pay off any difference for turning the car in early or explain that. Their 2016 Hyundai sat on Rick Case's lot for over a month.... It appears Yende was hiding the unit and never contacted the Manufacture in a timely manner to come get the car. Then to make matters worse he insisted that my mother put the new 2017 Hyundai in her name only, even though the 2016 was only in my fathers name.... Again TRICKERY on Yende's part, Why would he not be able to finance the new car only in my fathers name when he has always paid on time to Hyundai. Again tricks by Yende, If they finance the new car in my mothers name, then they are giving the appearance that my father is just giving his lease back early, as if he is surrendering it or voluntarily letting the car be repossessed. What a LIE!! With all that said a few months later my parents received a letter from Hyundai stating they owe them over $5,000 due to turning in their 2016 Lease early. Why! Why! would not a good salesman explain all of the options to an elderly couple who is totally unfamiliar with this Lease/Purchase game. I'll tell you why, because Yende is a sneaky, under handed salesman just looking to get a sale at month end. And he took full advantage of these customers. I wish I was with my parents at the time, because this definitely would not have gone down like this..... I'm am a Lender in the Auto Finance industry, and therefore Yende would never have gotten away with this. We will never step foot in that Rick CaseHyundai dealership in Davie, Fl again. When my parents lease is up in 3 years we will drop the keys off and never buy from this dealership again. And for the record the over all customer service is terrible.... leaving messages for the finance managers in this matter was horrible, no respect for the customers. More
