I wanted to attempt to get some sort of basic pricing as I have done with other dealers, especially due to the pandemic. I know exact trade in values are hard over the phone but wanted a base rand for my tr I have done with other dealers, especially due to the pandemic. I explained I did not want to make a hour each way drive with no ideas on his base line of trade in numbers. This would have been my 5th kia purchase and I have ALWAYS done all my negotiating via phone prior to going to the dealer. This is completely unprofessional and said that ALL dealers just give fake deals over the phone. That being said, that statement is FALSE, as my last 4 Kia's and 1 Ford have all been done this way. Not only have the numbers NEVER gone up after going to sign 1 time it dropped a few dollars. Sorry to push a new and well repeating Kia customer away. Time to rethink brands after this. Chris was great when helping find and decide which car I wanted, even though we had difficulty selecting what we wanted he stayed with us.
