My experience with Randall Reed's Planet Ford was an absolute disaster. Initially, I called this dealership on 6/14/2026 and spoke to a gentleman in the service department to schedule my vehicle for absolute disaster. Initially, I called this dealership on 6/14/2026 and spoke to a gentleman in the service department to schedule my vehicle for a recall repair. I was told I'd get a call back the next day once he ordered the necessary parts. I never received a call back. I called again on 7/8/2026 and spoke to Erica Reeves to finally schedule my vehicle to come in. I was initially told the repair would take about 3-4 days to be completed. However, during the TWO WEEKS that this service department actually had my vehicle, the communication was non-existent. I received one single update via text, but never a call. And after I declined the extra services they were trying to sell me? I didn't hear a peep from them until I reached out a whole week later. Even then, I didn't get an answer until the following day at 4:23 PM, when I was told my vehicle's A/C system had "cross-contamination." Erica told me they could do the repair at a certain price with free labor because they already had the engine opened up. I asked if I could verify some details with my previous mechanics first and told her I'd call right back. At 5:12 PM that same day, I called her back for further details—literally just asking for a picture of something on my car so I could make an educated decision. She said she’d get back to me in a few moments with the info. She never did. The service department closes at 7 PM, so there shouldn’t have been an issue getting back to me. The Next Day (Thursday, 7/23): 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM: I called twice with no answer. 3:00 PM: Erika finally got back to me and casually mentioned they had closed my engine back up, and now the A/C repair would cost TRIPLE the original price! Woah, what?! I was completely flabbergasted. I was given zero notice that my vehicle's recall repair would even be finished that night. Absolute poor communication on both the advisor and mechanic's end. I demanded the original price be honored, and Erica said she'd speak to her manager. An hour went by, so I called back (4:04pm)—again, no answer. 6:17 PM: She finally got back to me via voicemail telling me they had ALREADY finished the A/C repair. HUH? I was never even asked for authorization to go through with the repair, nor was I told if the original price was honored! It was an absolute xxxx show. 6:29 PM: I called back after seeing the missed call. She confirmed the original price was honored and told me I could come pick it up right then (they close at 7 PM, by the way). Pickup & Paperwork Failures: When I picked up my vehicle the next morning at 9:00 AM, I asked the advisor who was in, Liz, for a report of all the work done and the freon test results. I was told they couldn't print anything out because the Hertz rental car was still in their system and they had to return it before they were able to print a report. Whaaaaaaat?? I've never gone to a Ford dealership in my LIFE and not gotten a report upon pickup. Mind you, I was already charged for the A/C system repair, but left with zero paperwork. I was promised an invoice via email once the rental was returned on Monday... Well, guess what day it is? It’s Monday at 6:30 PM! No invoice, no call, nothing. Ford, this location is doing a complete disservice to you and your customers. I will NOT be recommending this location to anyone! TL;DR: Planet Ford took 2 weeks for a recall repair that was supposed to take 3-4 days, ghosted me constantly, and then claimed my A/C needed repairs. When I called asking for a simple photo of my car before deciding, they ignored me, closed the engine, and tried to TRIPLE the price. After I demanded the original quote, they went ahead and did the work without my authorization! To top it off, they charged me, refused to give me a paper receipt/report upon pickup, and broke their promise to email my invoice today. Zero communication, unauthorized repairs, and terrible service. Do NOT bring your car here! More
My car buying experience was great. I accomplished what I set out to do which was buy a car and do so primarily over the phone so I was not subjected to normal dealerships tactics and s I accomplished what I set out to do which was buy a car and do so primarily over the phone so I was not subjected to normal dealerships tactics and spending 6 hours at the dealership going back and forth. The salesman (David M.) was fantastic and fought for me not against me. Super professional and attentive to my requests. With everything completed I got a phone call things were approved and ready and upon arrival I was in and out in less than one hour which was great. Highly recommend David and the staff. More
⚠️ WARNING: Dishonest Dealership and Sales Team I purchased a 2025 truck for over $115,000 with about 1,400 miles on it. Over the phone, I was assured it had never been wrecked and was in perfect con purchased a 2025 truck for over $115,000 with about 1,400 miles on it. Over the phone, I was assured it had never been wrecked and was in perfect condition. That turned out to be completely false. First issue: I bought the truck late in the evening (my mistake for not inspecting more closely). On the drive home, I realized the headlights were aimed up toward the sky, making it unsafe to drive at night. I was even pulled over because the speedometer was off by nearly 14 mph. The next morning, in the daylight, I discovered the truck had been wrecked and very poorly repaired. I immediately contacted the sales manager, who agreed to take care of the bodywork, headlights, and speedometer calibration—what you’d expect from a $115K vehicle. Second issue: The truck had an aftermarket hood. Before I made the 6-hour round trip to buy it, I specifically asked if that was because of an accident and was told no, it was just for looks. I asked if it could be changed back to factory—was told yes, for $500, which I agreed to. I made another long trip to drop it off for repairs. After a week, they called saying everything was done. When I arrived, none of the body issues had been fixed—only the hood had been replaced, and it had a terrible paint job. When I pointed that out, I was told I should be grateful for what they did because I should have inspected it better before buying. Third issue: When I went to pay for the hood, they took my card for over 30 minutes, then came back saying they couldn’t figure out who to run it to (dealership vs. body shop) and asked me to write a check with the name left blank. I just wanted to leave, so I did. When the check cleared, I found out the salesman had written it to himself personally. Final straw: I asked multiple times to speak with the general manager and was told each time they “weren’t in.” I never heard back. The only callback I eventually received was from a finance person—even though I didn’t finance this truck through them at all. I am now seeking legal counsel. If you value honesty, integrity, and basic professionalism—STEER CLEAR of this dealership. More
The sales person was attentive through the process of the application. Showing pictures of the car I was able to get in. Asking for pictures of mine that I would be trading in All is good. Our last bing con application. Showing pictures of the car I was able to get in. Asking for pictures of mine that I would be trading in All is good. Our last bing confirming what the max is, I could pay a month. I got a "got it, when can you come in?" . I go in. I sit there for 30 minutes. Comes to me, brings me a sheet of paper that is two hundred dollars more a month , then what I said my max was. Try to wheel and deal me for an hour and a half like my budget was going to magically change and I left with no car and they were left with no sell. The truth is, even if I could have come up with the extra two hundred dollars a month.I would not have given it to them. I made it obvious in the beginning that I don't make my time wasted, and that is exactly what happened. More

Josh promised us the moon, said he would definitely replace the whole windshield which has a large chip right in the line of the driver's vision, he did not say REPAIR he said REPLACE , I asked twice!! He said he never said that. Way overcharged for an extra key fob to go with the car. They are crocodiles just waiting to devour you as you drive up. Stay away as they do not live up to their word. Just keep driving right by, don't stop. I promise you'll regret it if you do. More
This has to be the worst dealer ship in the USA. I've only returned here because I thought I was returning for a warranty issue with the dealership. I own a 2018 Ford Transit. The AC went out and wa I've only returned here because I thought I was returning for a warranty issue with the dealership. I own a 2018 Ford Transit. The AC went out and was repaired by Planet Reed and 11 months later it was out again and I felt I had to go back to them. It went out 9 months later and again I felt the part was under warranty and I had to return to this place and again the AC went out for a 3rd time withing a year and again I was back at Planet Reed. They had really messed up a lot and it's too much to even write. This is the ultimate mess up here and no one is left paying but me. Here is the latest mess up. My 2018 Ford van broke down 10/29 while I was traveling. I was almost to Austin TX and I had the van towed to Plant Ford in Dallas. The service manager called me and was diagnosed with motor failure. I told them I had an extended warranty. I later received a call that I was advised I was out of warranty. I was provided me a receipt that my van had 125,376 miles. (376 miles out of warranty) and estimated almost 11k to repair. I had the van towed to a different shop on Nov 4th that said they could possible do it for 8k. After being delayed for too long I had the van towed to Rockwall Ford Nov 20th. Rockwall Ford and advised me since I have a 96 loyalty score with Ford to reach out to Ford's Corporate office to request financial assistance. This was the first time I knew of or had heard that Ford's corporate office even had such a plan. It took until Dec 16 for Ford to agree to pay something and until Jan 4th for Ford to say they would pay 60 %. That left me paying almost 4k. Now I got on the phone to ask Ford for a complimentary additional extended warranty on the whole van since I've had so many problems. I've had the air conditioner replaced 3 times. The first time was 9 months after purchase. My husband over heard me say the van had 125, 376 miles on it. He corrected me that the van only has 123,583 miles at that time. I told him he must have mad a mistake. He pulled up a photo he had taken on his drive home from picking up the van. This would mean I was under warranty this whole 77 days without my van. I own a business and had to turn down a lot of business due to not having my van. I've lost a documented over 27k in revenue, I paid Planet Ford $170 diagnostic, I paid $3800 out of pocket and I spent 2k on a rental car. None of this would have ever been an issue had Planet Ford not told my warranty company the wrong mileage. I believe Planet Ford acted in bad faith because they can get more money from me that from a warranty company. I deserve to be compensated. I reached out to Planet Ford and was only told to contact their attorney. Planet Ford never even said I'm sorry". I have a 11 minute conversation recorded between me and the service manager, i'll call him A.S. where he told me they're not willing to do NOTHING. The company's attorney did phone me around the end of January and said the was going to get PF to at least file with my warranty company and I never heard from him again. As of today April 5th I'm still on the losing end. I filed a complaint with the BBB and Planet Ford lied and said I REFUSED financial assistance through his company. You have to know a lie when you hear one. Why on earth would I refuse financial assistance on a 11k bill. PF never even offer to give me my diagnostics fee back. This is the worst company ever and I hope someone read this til the end. More
