After negotiation, my understanding was that we agreed to $31,500 before tax and tags, with the dealer processing fee included. I also made a $3,000 down payment. Before signing, I specifically asked for a printed financial breakdown so I could review the numbers. I was told I would receive the printout afterward and that everything would be the same. I relied on that representation and signed. Only after receiving the completed paperwork did I see an $800 dealer processing charge added separately and a $1,200 optional GAP contract that I did not intend to purchase. The final amount financed was $33,042.50. Although the paperwork shows that my $3,000 down payment was applied, my concern is that the final charges and complete financing breakdown were not provided to me for review when I requested them before signing. Customers should be given a clear, itemized breakdown—including all dealer fees and optional products—before being asked to sign. I left this transaction feeling misled and deeply disappointed by the financing process. More
