Poor Customer Service/Doesn't stand by the Warranty My daughter and I both bought a car at the end of December. My daughter bought a used 2011 Elantra for $11k. The day she drove the car home, the car w My daughter and I both bought a car at the end of December. My daughter bought a used 2011 Elantra for $11k. The day she drove the car home, the car was leaking antifreeze. She took the car up to the dealership and they said a hose was not tight. They also told her the car she bought had a brand new engine and that when you have a new engine installed, it can take some time to work out any quirks. Amber came home and her car smelled like gas. She was going to drive it back to the dealership, but it broke down on the highway. The car was towed to the dealership. They kept the car almost a week. Amber was going to visit California and the dealership told her they ordered the part, but it wasn't in yet. They told her she could have it fixed in California. They also told her they would give her 100k mile warranty because the engine was new. Amber gets to California and she goes into Hyundai there and she sits in the service department all morning and afternoon. They didn't even look at the car. The other day, the car overheated again. She had to have the car towed to the dealership in Santa Ana, CA. The dealership told her they didn't know when they could look at the car. Amber asked for a rental and they told her no. Then, they told her they would call her with the total. Amber had to rent a car to get to work. The dealership just called her and told her it would cost her $285. They said the heater hose needed replaced and that hoses are not covered under warranty. Amber called Bobby in the service department and of course he told her he would call her back. Amber's car is sitting at a California dealership while Northtowne Hyundai is ignoring her calls. I bought a car a week after Amber did. This is not how you do business, especially when you want repeat customers and a good review. We are going to call Call for Action or/and Problem Solvers if this is not fixed ASAP. Amber just paid her first car payment. Now, her car is broke down and the dealership doesn't seem to care now that the car is no longer on the lot. Not okay! Horrible customer service!! Just want I was looking for at a price I couldn't beat I traded in a plain jane 2014 Sonata GL for a 2015 Sonata Hybrid with just about everything on it. I was already a fan of the Sonata, but this is real I traded in a plain jane 2014 Sonata GL for a 2015 Sonata Hybrid with just about everything on it. I was already a fan of the Sonata, but this is really an exceptional car. It is rated between 36 to 40 MPG and I am regularly getting 37 MPG. Just took my first long trip over the past weekend and will have right at 550 miles on 1 tank of gas and almost 40 MPG. WOW! More
