You will only get the best rate for which you qualify if you purchase the extended warranty. When you complain, the finance guy will call you and become terribly unprofessional and rude. Watch out that they do not change your lender without notification to you or approval from you. You will need to make them feel like they “have won” when negotiating on price. Check your cup holders and seat storage for melted candy. The GM backs up this behavior. More
Horrendous Service Absolutely horrendous service, from beginning to end. Put wrong oil in car, made me wait over 3.5hrs for second, scheduled oil change, etc. Details fo Absolutely horrendous service, from beginning to end. Put wrong oil in car, made me wait over 3.5hrs for second, scheduled oil change, etc. Details follow: Went to Jiffy Lube for oil change & was told I needed to take it back to Ford, where I bought car, because oil filter was over-torqued. Made an on-line appointment with Ford for a full synthetic oil change. Told service counter rep about the over-tightened filter—never heard any response back from Ford service folks about that. Once home, I noticed on invoice that Ford used a synthetic blend, not full synthetic. Called Ford and they acknowledged that error and said I could come in next Saturday, one week away, to refill with full synthetic. Arrived at my appointment on time at 8am and, when I asked how long it would take, they said there were others in front of me. Puzzled, since I had an appointment and this was a return trip for me due to Ford’s mistake--I told the service rep. this who then said it would be at least an hour-and-a-half. After about 2hrs, I went to service desk and was told that my car had just been pulled into garage, that they didn’t have my filter in stock and had to get one elsewhere—hence the delay. I went to speak with the store manager who politely listened to me, agreed that this was pretty unacceptable. When I asked what he was going to do to make it right, he went to speak with someone in the service department. I was under the impression he was going to come back. He never did. Instead, about 20 minutes later, the service counter rep came in and told me my car was ready. This whole ordeal took 3hrs and 40min, from 8am to 11:40am. The filter should have been in stock, especially since the service department knew that I had to make time for a second appointment for them to correct their mistake. I should have been informed what was going on with my car when it was clear that it was going to take much longer than expected. The manager should have come back to talk with me to update me and to discuss my question regarding what Ford was going to do to make this right. And, this all should have never have happened in the first place: filter should not have been over-torqued; the correct oil should have been installed in my car; and I should not have had to wait 3hrs 40min, with an appointment, for a simple oil change. Called up the day before a big sell off Worst car buying experience possible. They called me up claiming they had a great deal on the model I was looking but I had to get it that night. I bi Worst car buying experience possible. They called me up claiming they had a great deal on the model I was looking but I had to get it that night. I bit, come to find out it was the night before they marked down their entire fleet by 1500 to 2000... I had been shopping here for a couple months, visiting the same salesman, and waiting for the price to drop on a particular model (which they had four of). I was prepared to wait another month when a received a call from a different salesperson. They told me if I came in that night they would come down another 500. That required me to come off my budget some, however, i liked the car and I trusted them. Shame on me. The very next day I received an email notification that the four vehicles I had been following (all the same model, including the one I had purchased) at north county ford had there prices reduced significantly more. What could I do about it? Nothing of course, "I had signed a contract" was the response received from every "manger" they pushed my way. They did offer me a free oil change... for a plug-in hybrid that won't need oiI for another 2 years or 20,000 miles. It ended with the general manager (a "Todd Neilsen" whom I have never seen at the dealership during normal business hours) hanging up on me after telling me that the model I purchased was the only one on the lot at the time. Yup I'm a sucker. The take-aways; if the deal is that good, it'll be there tomorrow, never trust a car salesman, and never buy anything from north county ford. More

Brake issues and Maintenance Service Amazing group here!! I was greeted as I walked in the door as if I was an old friend. I was having my brakes issues with my F-150 truck, another dea Amazing group here!! I was greeted as I walked in the door as if I was an old friend. I was having my brakes issues with my F-150 truck, another dealership said it was normal for the brakes to go to the floor when slowly down to a stop (7,500 mile on the truck). I had it towed here and they found the problem within a day. I decided to try them out for my scheduled maintenance, Not only did they schedule me an appointment on short notice (Less than 24hrs), they also completed the maintenance items so quickly (1 hour) that I was able to complete all my appointments for the day. If you want a to take your vehicle to a group that cares about you as a customer, bring it here to North County Ford !!!!! More

When I picked it up after the work was done, I immediately noticed that it had trouble starting- should have done something about it right away, but didn't, hoping it was a fluke. Two days later, it still has trouble starting so I make an 8am appointment to bring it in the next morning. I drop the car off and Service dept says "I'll call you in a couple hours." It takes them almost 4 hours to call... only to tell me that "9 out of 10 cars that have this recall work done end up having a fuel pump failure." So, If you knew that already, why didn't you check it before you sent it home with me? GRRR. Now they say it'll be done by the end of the day.... 3 hours later they call to tell me "We had other cars we were working on and can't get to yours today. We'll try first thing in the morning" So this is basically what I'm getting from North County Ford Service: You messed up my car; knew that there was a 90% chance you messed it up but sent it back home anyway, and now you put off fixing your mistake until another day? The first visit was atrocious and the only reason I returned was because I bought three oil changes and after receiving horrible service twice I won't be using the third oil change that I already paid for. Dropped car off for an 11:00 appt and returned at 4:00 PM to pick up car. The oil change wasn't performed and told to return the next morning. I arrived and the car still wasn't ready. Outrageous!!!! Very Poor Service Department and Clueless :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::North County Ford Customers BEWARE::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I Dropped off my :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::North County Ford Customers BEWARE::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I Dropped off my 2017 Focus RS for warranty work on 6/20/17 that needed paint work due to the issues in the factory shadow black paint. It also so needed some panels and trim replacement due to panels not staying snapped in place. I get a call on Friday 6/23/17 late afternoon and my service writer Shannon said that my RS is back from the paint shop and her technician is putting in the replacement panels and trim and hope to have the vehicle done by the end of the day or by tomorrow afternoon and she would let me know. Well no call on Friday as I was told she would to let me know so I assumed my RS would then be finished Saturday afternoon since no call by the time the service dept. closed on Friday. Well here it is Saturday and I've been trying to get ahold of Shannon my service writer with no luck, Oh by the way this service department has very poor phone etiquette. I finally get a call from Shannon at 2:18pm to tell me that the technician that's been working on the panels still has the tweeter grill left to do but he is off and she is trying to get another technician to finish the work but may not be until Monday till my RS is completed. Really your tech is off and your calling me at 2:18pm are you freaking kidding me you should have known that first thing in the morning when the service dept opened what the HECK seriously. She asked me is that ok that it could be Monday till its complete I told her no BUT what do I do, at this point I'm so pissed off and upset but that's not all it gets better. Shannon calls me back a few minutes after she had told me that her tech was off and it will probably be Monday Shannon tells me the real reason now that my RS is not finished is that they have the wrong parts. The tech ordered the wrong parts so while the vehicle was at the Paint shop they ordered the correct parts so now Friday the parts come in and they don't fit, wait WHAT!!!!!!!!. OMG your the service writer and you have no clue you tell me one thing and then another and then another WOW. I WILL not be bringing my vehicle back here for ANYTHING else once they are done with it I'm so unhappy very disappointed and not going to recommend to anyone else due to the unprofessional and clueless service writer. My wife and I bought a vehicle from there in the early 2000's and had really crappy service back then and my wife warned me and I told her that was a loooooong time ago well this service dept holds true to its crappy and poor service that hasn't changed. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND ANGRY, Customers beware. I had this same POOR service at another local Ford dealer I guess this is what they train for at the dealerships is how to give crappy customer service. Yes they put me in a rental but its just that a rental I WANT MY RS North County Ford WHY CANT YOU DO YOUR JOB You had one job and that was to fix my vehicle, SMH. I had an appointment with Shannon and they said it would be done at 2pm. I had to call at 4:05 to find out if my car was done or if they would get a hold of me. I get a voicemail at 4:30 saying they would need to keep the car to finish up some of the work because they had a hiccup. They would take care of it tomorrow and if I had a question to call by 5:30. 5/23 I called around noon to find out if it was going to be done. I get a call at 2:17 to give me an update and to give her a call before 4pm. Again... about an hour window to call back. I called back and left a message with her and the service manager to get an update. nothing. 5/24 I call at 4:03pm to see if I can pick it up and leave her a message.... call right back and leave the service manager a message. I get a hold of the receptionist who told me she was sick and she would have the service manager call me back... nothing. 5/25 I call at 11:49 and leave her a voicemail. Left another at 11:53 for the service manager. I call back at 1:09 and demand to talk to someone. Shannon gets on the phone and I ask whats going on.. she said, "she left me a few messages"... I said, "after I called you and only on monday and tuesday... nothing yesterday or today. It was supposed to be done days ago and you haven't updated me or anything." She said, "the entire computer system shut down and it won't be ready until hopefully the end of JUNE!" WHAAAT! I was told monday and then overnight a part and now its late june and you guys haven't let me know or tried to offer a car in the mean time? My buddy had to drop me off multiple times and use his car since I work sales. She said good news I did the paper work to get you a rental, you can go to hertz and put a 50 deposit down and get one until its fixed.... I was shocked... You don't need me to come in or get this figured out? nope.... I said ill be right in. Talked to Scott the owner who was very nice and cordial, but couldn't help with compensation, but gave me the number for ford to call later....I told him I had already planned on doing a performance package and bought some oil packages. He said after I get it back he would try and help do it at cost if I was still interested. Save a couple hundred bucks if I do, but doesn't really help the next month or if I don't do it. He asked if I had a rental car and I told him what she told me... He said he would be right back and get me one. Hertz didn't have any on hand and would be an hour to get one.. They have a F-150 in the meantime. I said fine, until they have a car that will work. He walked me over and I heard the service manager say xxxx, it doesn't have gas. He told a guy to go ASAP and get it done in 5 minutes.... In the meantime I asked parts about the Performance upgrade they had on ford website and he had no clue what it was or what it cost. I asked service and they told me to go to parts. I guess nobody knows the parts they sell and what seemed like a pretty easy question as far as to what they normally charge. While I was waiting I wanted to check on my car and get my house key. She told me where it was and I find it outside with the windows down! I asked her and she said they bring it in at night.. I said the windows are still down most of the day and is going to be for a month! I go back to talk to Scott the Owner that the windows are down and it's been almost an hour with them only saying it's getting gas. It's less then 3 minutes away to the station! He says ok.. I walk back over to service and he comes in to figure something out with the windows. They will find a way or put it inside across the street. Ok fine. I finally get the loaner truck and go home. I call the number and it's the wrong number. I call back and he's already gone, but they found the mistake. Last number was written wrong. I call ford to let them know what's going on and see if they can help compensate the time im missing with my car and for everything else. I tell him they set it for Monday and they just told me it will be until July for them to be able to replace the ECU and the owner told me to call you to see about compensation since I will be without my car and all of the trouble. After a few minutes he says he will confirm with Ford and get it figured out. He introduces someone and ITS NORTH COUNTY FORD TO SET AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THE RECALL FIXED!!!! She said I don't know why he forwarded you then. I call back and there closed now... UNBELIEVABLE!! They didn't do a single thing right. Other then the owner... nobody else seemed to think this was a big deal and were terrible at getting things done or at least letting me know whats going on and I was right next to them almost the entire time. One of the worst experiences ever and we have at least a month to go. Outrageous! As I was leaving I hear them talk about the same recall to someone else and didn't mention it could go wrong....WOW! I understand things go wrong with a car, but the communication and way this was handled was truly awful. I really hope it gets better from here since I have no other choice. My car is completely dead or I would move it. More
Horrible Service We took our the car in because half of the time it was sputtering, dying at stops and overheating when it was acting up. They took a few days and call We took our the car in because half of the time it was sputtering, dying at stops and overheating when it was acting up. They took a few days and called and said it was the timing belt. The cost was $1073, and we picked the car up. On the way home it acted up for a short period of time and we took it back the next day because it was still acting up - worse than before. So, they did a compression check on the engine and could not find the problem. Brent asked to keep the car until another mechanic could look at it on Tuesday, this was Thursday. They offered us a loaner car, which we picked up on Saturday. Tuesday we get a call from Brent and he said the wiring harness looked like it was wired wrong and they wanted to keep the car for another day to make sure it fixed the problem. On Wednesday, Brent called and said he felt $212 was a fair price for the repair, and they wouldn't charge shop fees. Wednesday evening we went into the dealership and spoke with Brandon Anderson, a service manager, and explained the situation. He listened, said he wanted to talk to the mechanic and would get back to us on Thursday, and we should keep the loaner car until then. Thursday, Brandon called and said that the timing belt was worn and would have had to been replaced eventually, and offered us a free tire rotation and oil change. So, a simple $212 repair ended up costing us $1285. We will no longer recommend this place for service and will be looking for a new car somewhere else later this year. More
