🚨 BUYER BEWARE — ONE OF THE WORST CAR-BUYING EXPERIENCES I’VE EVER HAD. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I was purchasing a 2020 Chevrolet Trax. I originally dealt with MacMulkin (also owned by Thompson Auto Group) and was repeatedly told the vehicle was in their shop being worked on and “prioritized for me.” After weeks of waiting, I went to Nashua Hyundai and found the EXACT SAME VEHICLE with the EXACT SAME VIN sitting on their lot. 🚩 Kellan assured me that if I paid a $1,000 CASH deposit, the vehicle would be ready Monday, August 17 at noon—“NO QUESTIONS ASKED.” I trusted them and paid. Monday came and the vehicle wasn’t ready. What followed was excuse after excuse, conflicting information, missed deadlines, and calls that were never returned. I finally purchased the vehicle August 19 and paid another $3,000 CASH. Getting a receipt for that payment became another ordeal. Despite repeatedly asking, I didn’t receive the receipt until 12 DAYS later. Then came the registration nightmare. I was under the impression the dealership was handling registration and plate transfer. I provided everything requested. Somehow, my trade-in remained registered in my name, creating insurance issues. The RMV then rejected the paperwork because the numbers on the bill of sale didn’t match. I repeatedly warned them that I would NOT drive my child around with an expired temporary plate. I was assured the registration would be handled or that a loaner would be available if it wasn’t. September 9 came. My temporary plate expired. The registration still wasn’t completed. (Due to their error it was denied the first round) I personally called the RMV and spent over an hour on hold, only to learn the corrected paperwork I was told had been submitted wasn’t even showing as processed. I called Kellan and was told, “I’ll take care of it. Just give me a second.” After waiting hours with no resolution, I drove to the dealership AGAIN. Joe Dolan told me they could not provide another temporary plate or a loaner. He called Kellan on speakerphone. Despite previously being told management would address a loaner if registration wasn’t completed, Kellan suddenly said, “I don’t know anything about that. I have nothing to do with that.” I left with NO VEHICLE to drive my son to school or myself to work on September 10. This transaction involved conflicting information, broken promises, missed deadlines, poor communication, registration/RMV problems, an expired temporary plate, my trade-in remaining registered in my name, insurance complications, a 1-week delay submitting financing paperwork to the bank, and repeatedly having to request a receipt for $3,000 CASH. There were also real financial consequences. I lost work time making calls, traveling back and forth, and trying to resolve issues that should have been handled by the dealership. I paid for additional transportation while they delayed the transaction and continued paying insurance on my previous vehicle because GEICO could not cancel it while it remained legally registered in my name with the Massachusetts RMV. I repeatedly gave this dealership opportunities to fix the situation. Instead, I felt passed from person to person while having to chase down answers myself. I also contacted President Jeffrey Thompson Jr. with a whole chronological timeline and have not received a response. I sincerely hope Thompson Auto Group takes this matter seriously and responds. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be seeking legal counsel to determine what appropriate action I can take. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. But this was an ongoing pattern of poor communication, lack of follow-through, and lack of accountability. Would I recommend Nashua Hyundai? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Would I buy another vehicle here? NOT A CHANCE. More

Unfortunately he quickly devolved into the stereotypical, high pressure salesman that makes the car buying experience rank right up there with a root canal. Even after we told him we were just test driving (we didn't even take our trade-in with us to avoid the inevitable pressure to buy "today" routine. During the test drive (I wish we could have done it w/o a salesperson present) for some reason he thought it was a good sales tactic was to dump on the state I am from (Massachusetts), not his beloved New Hampshire all the while continuing to fish for info to try to make the sale. At the end of the test drive, before we parted ways, he said he had to talk to his GM for a sec and proceeded to make us wait another few minutes while they chatted, finally coming back just for one more sales pitch before we left. We left an immediately started researching alternate dealerships. :( More

Once you get there, someone might offer to help you - or you might wait for a very long time before anyone says a word to you. One day we were there, another woman was yelling at them because she had had to drive in from Boston to check on her car. They say they give out loaners - but NEVER have one available. They lie about everything - told us our car was good to go and then the engine failed two days later - and now have had it for a month! General manager - Nate - was totally unapologetic - and refused to give us an extended warranty or stand by the "service" that they just performed - claiming that all warranties are given by Hyundai - and the dealership "can't do anything" about that. Also - why are Hyundai engines so bad!? This is the SECOND one they've put in - I don't trust them and I will NEVER buy another Hyundai - AND the dealership should be ashamed of their abysmal treatment of customers!!!!! More
LIARS - I brought my daughters 2018 Tuscon there for warranty work and lets see how many lies. 1) We don't make the decision if yo get a loaner car or not, Hyundai Corp tells us, LIE! 2) We are a small warranty work and lets see how many lies. 1) We don't make the decision if yo get a loaner car or not, Hyundai Corp tells us, LIE! 2) We are a small dealership but somehow all the other dealerships bring them all the service work. LIE! 3) We don't make the decisions about repairing the car under warranty, We only do what Hyundai Corp tells us. LIE! 1) replaced the engine at 70,000 miles and even though the warranty says 100,000 Hyundai Corp says you have to pay $1,300 dollars. LIE! 2) The engine we put in is fine, there is no check engine light. Oh, you have to drive it faster than 10 MPH to feel the car surge and sputter. The engine we put in and said was good is actually no good and we need another 5 weeks to replace that engine and by the way the waiting list for a loaner is longer than the 5 weeks. LIE! This is all after getting a new transmission, catalytic convertor and 3 oil changes to prove the original engine was no good. So 10 to 15 quarts of oil go into the NEW catalytic convertor and it has less than 3000 miles on it but it will be out of the 1 year warranty because their useless tech says it is fine. The same tech who put in an engine that lasted 500 miles but "it was good to go" Also the General Manager refused to talk with me and had the lying service manager call me back when I call ed to complain about the service manager.
