I recently purchased a used car from Mohawk Honda. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider them for my next vehicle purchase. I selected this dealer due to their pricing and inventory. I went to the lot with a list of cars to look at. The website does a great job of photographing cars and providing equipment & features so I could compare against other vehicles. Chris, my sales consultant let me take the vehicle for a test drive alone. I like to test everything and give the car a thorough go-around so I hate the idea of wasting someone's time. On the day of delivery, Izaak explained the infotainment and driver-assist technologies that I did not have on my previous vehicle. I was appreciative of this as it saved me from having to read the owner’s manual. I have a few minor criticisms concerning the dealer. First, I was only provided the amount needed for the purchase, not an itemization. This gives the impression of trying to conceal something. Second, the business/finance manager seemed annoyed I wanted to read through the documentation. Most of it is boilerplate (e.g. Retail Sales Agreement, MV Forms) so I merely checked to ensure everything is filled out properly but I don’t read the legalese. They had some dealer-specific forms which are the ones I wanted to review but was prodded to move along as I was reading. Finally, the Retail Sales Agreement did not itemize the optional equipment/accessory order. As a result, I had to recall the agreed upon cash price along with the accessory cost to verify accuracy. The agreement also indicated that the car was being financed when it was cash sale and nothing was financed. More
