Wow. I twice needed to have some bodywork done--by coincidence damaged door both times on two different cars. My wife and I were in the final steps of purchasing a car at McGovern Auto in Arlington, MA. When we got the financing part, we became very concerned. We had mentioned that we could get a great rate throug at McGovern Auto in Arlington, MA. When we got the financing part, we became very concerned. We had mentioned that we could get a great rate through our credit union, but wanted to see what they could offer. When we went to meet with the finance person, they began pushing papers over for us to sign without telling us the rate. When we questioned this, they became very agitated and said, "This is how we always do this". We soon realized their rate was high, and we had been quoted over a point lower by our credit union. The employee kept saying things like" you can always refinance" and "we need to make money." It was really discouraging that they tried to be deceptive with the rate and tried to sneak in the paperwork with the higher rate. When questioned, they became aggressive, agitated, and literally started yelling at us. It was when we threatened to leave that they miraculously were able to lower their rate. It is very concerning that McGovern engaged in such deceptive practices. This was evident when the finance person literally said that they are in business to make money. Adding insult to injury, it has been over a week, and we still do not have the car. They do not have the ability to register the car on site, and it has been painfully slow for them to get everything done. More

Mirak Chevrolet is now owned by McGovern, but the service personnel seem to be the same. I recently took my 2025 equinox EV for some technical service bulletin work. Previously had been regretting my purchase of a Chevrolet vehicle, but now I feel more secure. More

The salesmen were all very professional. They were extremely friendly, polite, and respectful to my children and me.
