I needed service twice for 2 separate issues on my S600 I've needed service on my 2003 S-600 twice in the last month. Both visits to the service department have been exemplary. Best service ever. 6 STARS! The best service I have ever received! I've been lucky to own many of the world's best automobiles, including Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, 6 STARS! The best service I have ever received! I've been lucky to own many of the world's best automobiles, including Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc. -- I thus have had lots of experience with good (and not so good) service. MB of Escondido's service division went above and beyond for my "classic" 2003 S55, and I was visiting from out of state! The vehicle hadn't been starting right for a few months. Mercedes service centers in Las Vegas couldn't diagnose the problem, and neither could private mechanics. Then, during an out-of-town trip to San Diego, the car simply wouldn't start one morning. MB of San Diego flat out refused to see the vehicle, claiming they were packed and I was from out of town. MB of Escondido, however, understood my predicament and asked me to bring the car to them, which I did (it finally started, and I drove it straight there). The following is a list of the fantastic service I received: 1. Their customer service rep at first advised that I try a MB dealership closer to my hotel, to avoid inconvenience driving to Escondido. They were willing to sacrifice revenue for my convenience. 2. I saw a service rep (Adolfo) within 10 minutes of rolling in. 3. They promised they would try to remedy whatever the problem was by the next morning as I had to return to Las Vegas. 4. I received a loaner vehicle immediately, without asking. 5. The same afternoon I received an update -- a diagnosis was made (!), but the part wasn't going to be shipped on time. To get back home, they allowed me to take their loaner vehicle -- all the way to Nevada. 6. When I received the bill (electronically on my smartphone), the invoice was significantly lower in amount than expected. 7. They found another issue with my steering column which they fixed at no charge. 8. Adolfo then drove my vehicle all the way to Las Vegas to deliver it to me personally (a five hour drive), and pick up the loaner. 9. They knew I might never see them again. I was not a resident of San Diego, yet they went over and beyond in service. Blown away. I plan on visiting them again, and quite possibly using them for future purchases. More
