My mother, Carol, previously purchased a brand new 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited (White with black interior) from McCarthy Hyundai Blue Springs. After that vehicle was recently totaled, we expected an Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited (White with black interior) from McCarthy Hyundai Blue Springs. After that vehicle was recently totaled, we expected an honest, seamless replacement process from the dealer. Instead, we were targeted with an illegal bait-and-switch scheme. During text negotiations for an in-stock replacement, the dealership's representative initiated the offer, explicitly stating that they would honor her February deal structure and that "all products" from her previous transaction—including the 10-year/120k exclusionary contract, maintenance package, windshield, and GAP insurance—were fully included in a flat total price layout of $40,821.79. I did not ask for these to be thrown in; their team actively stated they were already factored into that total price layout. We arrived at 9:00 AM on Saturday, signed preliminary documents, and were immediately blindsided in the finance office. We were told the $40k price did NOT include the service contracts and that they would cost an additional $8,000+, making the actual total over $48,000.Sales Manager Jake Bartshe completely backtracked on the dealership's written commitment. He claimed it was a "miscommunication" and that the contracts were only included in a monthly payment option, completely ignoring that his team explicitly confirmed a flat total vehicle price in writing. When we held them to their own words, he asked us to leave. General Manager Ryan Foster needs to investigate the deceptive trade practices occurring on his sales floor. More

If I could give them a negative rating I would. I bought a 2020 Hyundai Palisade and since I've had it, it has had issues with engine hesitation on inclines and shutting off at stop lights. I took it into McCarthy Hyundai and was shocked at how much they do not care about their customers (my dad was a service manager for most my life and would never allow service like this)! My first experience they gave me an estimate for 2275.00 in repairs needed. One of the repairs had to do with the carbon chamber cleaning and it needing a cleaning that they claimed is a "maintenance issue" you have to do every couple of years that costs 799.00. I asked why would this be considered maintenance if its not included in a regular maintenance plan, they had no answer. They also recommended a 3 stage fuel system service for 274.00 and several other things including a battery replacement for 555.00. I paid for the battery and ended up paying for the carbon chamber cleaning and spent 1267.67 and not even a week later I was still having the engine hesitation. I called the service advisor several times and left messages and I called the service manager and left a message. Weeks went by and still never heard from them. Their GM Ryan Foster also never returns calls! I would not buy a car from here and beware if you have to have your vehicle serviced here!!! Do not expect a phone call back from them. More

This is the worst dealer I have ever worked with or in the top two. Ryan Foster is not an honest person and will lie to you continually. It took over two months for me to receive my registration. They overcharged me for my Registration by $600 dollars! Then when I called them out on it, they only sent me a refund of $400. They still owe me $200 dollars. The Salesman Q left Popeye's chicken handprints all over the entire car I purchased. The experience was so negative with them, after driving, 200 miles, to buy, that I already got rid of the car, after two months! They made me hate the car I bought, because of all the headaches they put me through. They ripped me off on my trade! And the FINANCE guy, after me driving 2+ hours wanted to go through this huge diatribe trying to sell me all these additionals!! Don't buy them, they are way overpriced! They knew they were ripping me off, because when I drove onto the lot everyone in there knew I was coming. It was kind of surreal. I will be turning them into the Missouri DOT. Missouri AG office. Missouri Consumer Protection Division. These people stole money from me! And they won't make any of this right! More
