Sold a car out from under me, but did reimburse my airfare. I tried to buy a Cadillac SRX I saw on Autotrader. When Marshall assured me that I could buy a $400 plane ticket, fly in Saturday with a check in han I tried to buy a Cadillac SRX I saw on Autotrader. When Marshall assured me that I could buy a $400 plane ticket, fly in Saturday with a check in hand, the vehicle would still be there. I even offered to put down a deposit. He called Friday and said it was wrecked the night before by vandals and not available anymore. I called and talked to somebody else, and they said it was sold Friday morning! I spoke to three people on the phone Tuesday and they all know I was flying in on Saturday to buy that car. Wouldn't you think someone could have put a 'hold' or 'sold' sign on it? So not only did they sell my SRX to someone else, but Marshall made up a story that didn't even happen. He then said McCarthy's would send me a check to reimburse my cancelled, nonrefundable plane ticket, but that was over a week ago. I guess that was just another lie, why not? Don't deal with these guys, not trustworthy at all. EDIT: I did get the airfare reimbursement right away after this review. It takes the sting out of the whole thing! I wish this had ended up the way I hoped. My wife missed out on a really nice car. I really wanted to do business with these guys! More
