We really did our research before going to buy a car. We settled on the Mazda 5 for a variety of reasons. Of all the Mazda 5's in the area, Mazda Lodi had 3 that fit both our price and mileage requirements. settled on the Mazda 5 for a variety of reasons. Of all the Mazda 5's in the area, Mazda Lodi had 3 that fit both our price and mileage requirements. We ended up focusing on one w/ very low mileage and a good price. So off we went. When we arrived, we went straight to the Mazda 5s and the sticker price of the car I was wanting was 2k higher than it was listed on Autotrader. I figured maybe I had an Internet special so no big deal. After inquiring further about the car, I was informed that the price listed on the Internet was a mistake and that the "Internet Guy" was new. So, the sticker price would be the price. I showed obvious disappointment and after a bit, they agreed that they would honor the Internet price, but there was going to be no room for negotiations. We had hoped to get the price down a bit, but we were operating under good faith and figured that they were being honest about the mistake. So, we test drove the car and it seemed great. We agreed to buy the car and did the paperwork and everything was pretty simple. We had a few reservations about a car w/ such low mileage (7,400) being sold, but they set our mind at ease and we felt pretty solid about the whole thing. I asked for a few minor things to be thrown in the deal: a tank of gas, mats, and a few services.. they agreed to all. I asked all the questions: any wrecks? all proper services? any thing else I should know about the car? Meanwhile, I was still waiting on the Carfax, which I had to keep reminding them about. Finally, they produced it and it seemed fine. Upon completion of the deal and after we signed all the paperwork, we were informed there weren't any more mats and we had already signed the thing that said we were given all we were promised. Not a deal breaker. Then, we went to leave and I asked about the gas, the salesman agreed and we went over. He didn't fill it up. He only put $20 in it... Not a deal breaker, but I was beginning to get a bit annoyed. But we really wanted the car, so we moved on. A couple days later I began to notice squeaking in the rear end. I decided to make an appointment for service. I took it in and they fixed it no problem. It was a bad rear right shock. The guy also rotated the tires. So far so good. I asked about the 7500k service and the tech. said the car didn't get it. This was a bit curious to me as the car had 7450 miles and I figured that before selling the car it should have been thoroughly inspected (like the window sticker said) and have the regular service done (at a minimum). Also, I was told it had all the services done. I left and the car drove great. But I figured I should call and ask about the service. This is where things got a bit hairy. I asked about it and the manager said that that wasn't required... it was optional... I pushed a bit, but he basically said if I wanted it, I had to schedule it and get it done (and obviously pay for it). I can't see why they'd sell a car that was scheduled for a service, but not do the service. And, if so, why wouldn't they just offer to do the service, admitting to the mistake... or oversight. I asked if this is what I could from the dealership? He got a bit bothered and said, "Yeah. You're right. Yep. You're right." This obviously was sarcastic. He then said maybe I should take my business elsewhere. That's it. That's where it was left. It's just really bizarre to me that they would cut such corners such as the mats, the gas, and the service and move on as if the customer, at least in this case, doesn't matter. I guess they're selling lots of cars and not really needing to take care of the little things over there. Nothing personal here, I don't even know their names, and they probably don't know mine, but I just wish I could of had a better experience. Leaves us with a bad taste in our mouth even though we do like the car. More
DON'T GO THERE !!!! Waste of time. GO STRAIGHT TO RAMSEY MAZDA. This is the worst dealer i ever went to ! Sales/service manager (Jeff) is the worst person to talk to about your car. I went there because thi MAZDA. This is the worst dealer i ever went to ! Sales/service manager (Jeff) is the worst person to talk to about your car. I went there because this dealer is most convenient for me. I was pretty sure that my oxygen sensor failed. I went there and advised that this may cause issue. After 3 hours I was called to the window and I was told that nothing is wrong with my car. I received $100 bill to pay which i refused and asked for test drive with somebody. The guy came and took me for a ride (he was on driver seat). OMG I was feeling that he is trying to make me an idiot... He never reached even 35 m/h and for any shaking/jerking I tried to point to him he was saying that is the way he drives(?) I asked to switch seats. Once I accelerated and pretty clearly showed him what I was talking about he agreed that something is wrong with my car. Came back to the dealer and went home. After couple of hours they called me and said that they changed oxygen sensor and car is ready for pick up (couple of hours before I told them about o2 sensor... I missed day at work because they don’t provide loan car...) Four days later, when my wife was going to work car stopped and oil leaked. She called for road assistance and they towed it away to Mazda of Lodi (unfortunately) I tried to call corporate to move my car to the other dealer but advised that I would have to pay for towing. I was trying to get some information from dealer about what failed in my car but only received info that they need to replace half of the engine. Even Jeff (manager) couldn't tell me what happened. I was trying to negotiate a loan car with Jeff but this guy is really difficult to work with. He is ignorant and makes you feel like you are nothing to him. One day he just walked away while I was still talking to him leaving me in the middle of the facility. Other time he was rude on the phone and telling me that I should take my car to some other dealer and pay towing fees. After about two weeks they called me to pick up my car. I came there around 7pm when service was closed. I signed warranty papers and received keys to my car. Once I got to my car I realized that its extremely dirty! Black stains on the light interior, black scratches on the door, oil stains on body, disgusting dust all over... Once I got a chance to drive the car I realized I have the same issue as before with o2 sensor. Got home called corporate and explained everything. Lady from cust service called Jeff and explained my concerns. He stated that HE took the car for a test drive and everything worked good (am I an idiot?) I gave up, next day I took it to the Ramsey Mazda. Left my car for couple of days and asked to check work done by Mazda of Lodi. After couple of days they called me back said that Oxygen sensor failed and they fixed couple of things Mazda of Lodi did wrong. Now my car finally runs the way it should. Thank you Ramsey Mazda! BTW I have 42000 miles on it so it's still under warranty... More

I leased my Mazda from them 3 years ago. I went to buy out my lease and they want to charge me $2000 more than residual value is. I thought that they charge that because I want to finance it, so I got the out my lease and they want to charge me $2000 more than residual value is. I thought that they charge that because I want to finance it, so I got the cash and went back two days later to buy it out. Then price went up another $1100. I said that I am not going to pay anything above the residual value of the car plus I will handle my own registration (you are allowed to do that if pay cash for the car). Guy got very upset and said this is how much he is charging me for the car. I said that the car doesn't belong to him, it's owned by leasing company. Then he got more upset and told me that only way I can get my car is to buying from him. Then he asked me to come back when I am ready to do that. I had BAD EXPERIENCE WITH MAZDA OF LODI from very beginning. First, 3 years ago, sales man asked me to give him positive reviews so he can get $50 extra. When I didn't he called me and yelled at me on the phone. Then my residential parking sticker "went missing" the same day I had my car serviced there. I didn't prove anything but this is one of these stickers you got to remove with razor blade from your window, so accidental pealing and falling off is not an option. I learned from Police that there is a black market for these stickers. Buyers be aware!!! DO NOT GO TO MAZDA OF LODI. Customer service is very unpleasant!!! I just called Mazda USA and they told me I can go to any other mazda dealer to buy that lease. Mazda of Lodi = bunch of scum bags. BTW. most positive reviews on this service look very artificial and fake. Written by mazda of Lodi employes perhaps? More

We visited the dealer to trade in our car for a new lease and the turn around was simply amazing. We were so impressed with the professionalism with the staff at Mazda of Lodi. The price we were given for our CX9 was incomparable to the other dealers. Our overall experience was a very pleasant one and I would highly recommend this dealer. The customer service was perfect!! As soon as I walked in, the salespeople were very attentive and polite. They were able to quickly target the model car I was looking for according to my needs. Once I decided on what I wanted, the leasing process was fast & smooth-I spent much less time on the paperwork process than in my previous experiences in other car dealers. I just bought my first car, and Charlie was the only salesman of all the dealerships I looked at who didn't pressure me, but instead let me make my own decision. He dealt with my honestly, and fairly, salesman of all the dealerships I looked at who didn't pressure me, but instead let me make my own decision. I had originally seen my 2011 Mazda 3 online before coming in to purchasing it and had went to a competitor (Ramsey Mazda) before hand, but had not liked the atmosphere or the sales people. As soon as coming in to purchasing it and had went to a competitor (Ramsey Mazda) before hand, but had not liked the atmosphere or the sales people. As soon as I left Ramsey, I had someone call and check if the car was available. Ken spoke with us explained it was a technically a used loaner vehicle, but none the less 2011 and it was on his showroom floor. As soon as we got there, Ken was as helpful as can be in explaining the pricing, warranty, vehicle features. With out a hitch, I was able to negotiate the price I had wanted and drove the car off the loft the same day. I am very pleased with the customer service I have received and look forward to recommending family and friends to Mazda of Lodi. More
