Almost satisfactory My gearbox and other problems went bad on m 2006 trailblazer. I was informed by a service agent that a refurbished transfer case was being purchased My gearbox and other problems went bad on m 2006 trailblazer. I was informed by a service agent that a refurbished transfer case was being purchased because GM doesn’t sell new ones. I asked what does “refurbished” mean. It was explained to me that it is a used transfer case that is torn down, gears replaced, and the inner components rebuilt, and the case reassembled and installed. When I picked up my trailblazer, I did not get a refurbished case, I got a transfer case that was used, with unknown miles, from a totaled vehicle. The only thing I got was a $600 part bill and hundreds in labor charges to refill it with new fluids. I have pondered this for days now and it angers me that I was told I was getting a rebuilt, refurbished case, but instead the technician informed me that all that he did was replace the fluid and reinstall it. Nearly $2,500 later this angers me. I will never use Masters again or recommend it to anyone. Subtle lies cast doubt on everything that was done to my vehicle. For all I know, the transfer case could have 300,000 miles on it! Disappointed in the lack of honesty and the fact that there was absolutely no reason to lie to me to get my business. Dr. Riley More
