Avoid this dealership at all costs! !! Promises made during the sales process were not honored, and for over a month I have been given nothing but excuses, delays, and assurances tha !! Promises made during the sales process were not honored, and for over a month I have been given nothing but excuses, delays, and assurances that my issue is being “handled.” Despite repeated follow-ups, there has been no resolution and no accountability. Customer service appears to end once the sale is complete. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and would strongly suggest shopping elsewhere. More
I visited Luxury Motor Cars in Hillside, NJ because I was seriously considering purchasing a BMW M235i they had advertised online. My experience genuinely felt like a parody of a car-buying experience and pe seriously considering purchasing a BMW M235i they had advertised online. My experience genuinely felt like a parody of a car-buying experience and perfectly illustrated why so many people distrust dealerships. The vehicle was advertised at one price, but once I arrived at the dealership, approximately $6,000 in additional charges were added to the asking price not including taxes or mandatory fees. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I had multiple conversations with the dealership before making the trip specifically about this vehicle. They had plenty of opportunities to disclose these fees and explain the true cost of the car, yet none of this was made clear until I was physically at the dealership. If the actual selling price is thousands of dollars higher than the advertised price, that isn’t a misunderstanding—it’s a marketing tactic designed to get customers through the door. At best, it’s a lack of transparency. At worst, it’s exactly the kind of bait-and-switch behavior that gives the entire automotive industry a bad reputation. The sales process felt like a stereotype of everything people dislike about car dealerships. The constant price changes, unexpected fees, and pressure tactics made the entire interaction feel more like a comedy sketch than a professional sales experience. After leaving, I spent more time researching the dealership’s reviews. While there are many positive Google reviews, I noticed that a surprising number appear to come from accounts with only a single review. That alone doesn’t prove anything, but it did raise questions for me, especially when compared with ratings on other platforms. At the time of writing, DealerRater, Carfax, and Cars.com all show significantly lower customer ratings than what appears on Google. Seeing that discrepancy made my experience feel less like an isolated incident and more like part of a pattern. I understand dealerships need to make money, but transparency matters. Customers deserve honest pricing and straightforward communication, especially when they have already invested their time traveling to see a vehicle after discussing it with the dealership beforehand. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business with this dealership. There are plenty of reputable dealers that are upfront about pricing and treat customers with respect. If you are considering buying a vehicle from Luxury Motor Cars, my advice is simple: run, don’t walk, in the opposite direction. More
Absolutely horrible experience. I was promised a specific price over the phone, so I flew all the way from Texas to New Jersey expecting them to honor what we agreed on. Instead, wh I was promised a specific price over the phone, so I flew all the way from Texas to New Jersey expecting them to honor what we agreed on. Instead, when I arrived, they suddenly told me the price was $10,000 higher than what was discussed. Completely dishonest and a total waste of time and money. After going back and forth, we finally agreed on another price. Then they had me sitting there for over three hours waiting to finalize the deal. Just when I thought we were moving forward, the manager came out and told me they sold the car to someone else. After I had already flown across the country and spent hours at the dealership. To make matters worse, they promised they would find me another vehicle the next day — and then never contacted me again. Not a call, not a text, nothing. Just another empty promise. They also offered to reimburse my Uber back to the hotel, but said they would mail me a check… which honestly feels like yet another promise that may never happen. This dealership is full of empty promises, poor communication, and zero respect for their customers’ time or money. Flying across the country for a vehicle just to be misled, ignored, and ultimately left with nothing is beyond unacceptable. If you value honesty and professionalism, stay far away from Luxury Motor Cars. More
