This Member of True Car network doesn't honor it's contract I helped my daughter select a used car from the Lorenzo inventory. This was done through USAA car buying service/True Car. She received a certificat I helped my daughter select a used car from the Lorenzo inventory. This was done through USAA car buying service/True Car. She received a certificate containing the price break down which included the price of the car and dealer fees. We called the dealership and spoke with Rafael, specifically telling him that we have a True Car certificate and would there be any fees other than tax, tag and title and the disclosed dealer fee of $799. I was reassured there would not. The certificate states "1Price may exclude tax, title, tags, governmental fees, any emissions testing charges, and any finance charges (if applicable). Unless otherwise stated separately in the vehicle details, where allowed by law, THE PRICE MAY NOT INCLUED PROCESSING, ADMINISTRATIVE, CLOSING OR SIMILAR FEES" (Emphasis mine). Sure enough, this dealership saw young people walk in and decided they would be easy marks. They added $1000 in fees to the price despite the fact that they have a contract with USAA through True Car, were told of the certificate and told the price was supposed to be set with no further negotiation. When my daughter was told she had to pay the extra costs, she didn't know any better and paid it. This is completely dishonest. We called the manager, Marshall, to discuss the situation but he never bothered to return the call. Of course, buyer beware and my daughter should have walked away. If you are young or inexperienced in the car buying process, please consider this experience if you intend to use Lorenzo Buick. They do not honor the terms of the True Car contract that they have agreed to. More
