Walked in for Service, Walked out with a New Car! I live in the West Palm Beach area but have recently relocated my 2012 VW GTI to where I work in Clearwater, FL. My car required servicing so I visite I live in the West Palm Beach area but have recently relocated my 2012 VW GTI to where I work in Clearwater, FL. My car required servicing so I visited Lokey VW since it was the closest dealership to my office and I am so glad that it was. It was a pleasant experience from the moment I pulled up to Lokey. I was greeted by a service-center person who introduced me to Antonio, the service advisor. Antonio was on the phone, so while he was attending to another customer, I walked into their showroom. To my surprise, right there on the showroom floor was the car of my dreams, the 2018 VW Golf R!, I had been waiting anxiously for this model to arrive but there was little information except speculation about availability dates. As I was ogling the car, I was approached by the very charismatic and vivacious Geneva, who quickly became one of my favorite people. Although a salesperson, I never felt like Geneva was pressuring me into making a decision (primarily because I was pressuring myself). Following a fun-filled test drive with Geneva and conversations with the amazingly informed staff, namely Hunter (another salesperson) and Rob, the sales manager, I was convinced that I had to have this car. I was able to work an equitable trade for my car and within hours, following a number of very interesting conversations with their finance manager, Chad, as I was signing my first born away (ha, don’t I wish!) I was driving home in my new car. The follow-up has been fantastic and I will be returning my car next week for the tint and special paint package. I count myself very lucky to have been in need of service on my car at the right time but most importantly, the right place was Lokey VW and I had the opportunity to work with all the right people! Thanks to Antonio, Geneva, Rob, Hunter and Chad for making a good experience even better and way more fun! More

Both transactions were pleasant and the follow-up services were quickly executed and seamless. Based on past experience I choose to shop for and order a 2018 Tiguan from Lokey Volkswagen. The salesperson with whom I had established a rapport over the previous year quit, personnel turnover happens, no one thought to contact his leads and establish a relationship. I was assigned a new salesperson who took me on a test drive and listened to me repeat the list of appointments I wanted in my Tiguan, after listing to everything and helping to determine the model and trim package needed it was determined that the vehicle would need to be ordered. That required me to see a sales manager and repeat my list of wants. Thank goodness I had to return to the dealership to order the car so I went home, got on my computer and built the Tiguan I wanted with the trim package and accessories at the VW website. I delivered the spec sheet for my perfect VW to the sales manager who placed the order. I was okay with it taking months to get my vehicle because I was getting what I wanted. The sales manager agreed to keep me updated on the progress of my car. I only spoke with him once after repeated phone calls to learn that it was due in by 24 February. There were no text updates or calls. My husband calls on or around the 24 to schedule a delivery time and is told that the sales manager that we were working with quit and that my car would not be in until March 24. Lokey has my refundable deposit, a paper trail on a customer ordered vehicle and no one thought to follow up with the customer on the disposition of their car or introduce them to who would be handling their transaction. The Tiguan came in earlier than the 24 March but it was not outfitted as expected and some accessories paid for were not on the car and some never made it to the final order. Prior to pickup the acting sales manager would not return my calls, a new salesperson who was assigned to complete the test drive, order missing accessories and act as liaison between me, the customer, and parts and finance, had no attention to detail and no follow through. It was an unpleasant buying experience. I would have had a better level of service from an internet purchase. From my perspective, Lokey VW’s only saving grace is the prompt, professional service of the service center which helps balance the unprofessional, lax attitude of the sales staff. More
