Thank you for sharing your feedback. Unfortunately, there’s not much we can say in defense of your warranty company here. We put the only engine the warranty company would authorize in your 265,000 mile/ten-year-old Genesis. Had we not been constrained by your warranty we would have preferred to put a remanufactured long-block in your car, but unfortunately that decision wasn’t ours to make. That said, as a result of this experience our dealership has adopted a new policy, one in which we will no longer service vehicles over ten years of age that we have not A: Retailed (new or pre-owned) to a customer. Or B: Maintained for no less than 36 months continuously. We’ve done all we can to work with you to cover the full extent of the repair that your warranty did not and extend our best wishes for a glorious rest of 2022.
