I took my pickup truck in for an airbag recall. I waited two weeks to get in and then a four hour job took a full three days to complete. The communication and setting of expectations was poor. The service was done very well. The problem was that a part needed to be order (the check engine light was on). It was supposed to be in in a matter of a few days. Finally, it took about 6 weeks for the part to arrive and I only knew it had arrived because I called and was then informed it had arrived. Then, the schedule for installation of the part required another three week wait. I would have thought, given how long I had already waited and the disinclination to inform me the part had arrived, that there would have been some effort to schedule an earlier appointment. Very high cost for fuel filter replacement on 2021 Ram Cummins. Mopar filters on line from Mopar parts houses and Ram dealers are less than $100 for both. Should have cost at most $235, figuring max of 1 hour labor. This is based on being at the dealer for 1 hour and 25 minutes for fuel filter and oil change, tire rotation, and the fuel filter replacement. How the total for just the filter replacement came out to $405 is beyond me. Also of note, they use Wix oil filter instead of Mopar as other dealers use. I think I’m done with them once my oil change contract is done and that is all I’ll use them for. More
