We could hear him working with a customer trying to convince the poor sucker to take a high APR. We were decided to leave but he caught us as we were leaving, so we gave him a chance. 3) He then shared an incomplete vehicle history with us that failed to include 2 years and 20,000 miles. 4) He also claimed they only had the vehicle on the lot for a month (It's September) but the online photos of the car show snow in the background. 5) Immediately, he then tried to raise the sale price of the vehicle by approximately $2,500 dollar but called it a "down payment". He also claimed the average sale price was approximately $9,000 more than the $19,700 price shown on the internet. We would have to finance that amount + the $2,500. No way. We left immediately as we had already heard way to much baloney. Beware! The City of New Rochelle or NY state should crack down on these hucksters. #ScamOperation More

We decided to travel almost 2 hours to see (and purchase ) the car. We asked for the car and was told a xx story about it being at another lot but it was being brought over. Alonzo sat down and started going over the impending purchase. Almost immediately the terms of the sale changed. We expected to pay cash but was told if we did the onlline price did not apply. A car whose price was $6777 online was now a retail price of $17,777. Yes, $11,000 more! After a moment I said fine I will finance and give him the down payment of $1,777. I would be financing $5000 plus the tax, tag, ect. Alonzo then says no the $1777 is in addition to the $6777. Are you kidding me. This guy was a sleazy scammer. WHen I told him that was unacceptable, he pointed to the writing in the advertisement. He claimed it was all written. There is no way what was written could have been interpreted that way (um because it against the law to scam people). He then stuck his hand out indicating our business was over. Amazing here I am with $9k to purchase the car and I can't because of this scam. Although I cannot be sure, I am pretty sure that this place is the lowest form of car dealers. I would never step foot here again. Please listen to this warning. If you want to be scammed out of thousands of dollars this is the place to go. Got time to waste, stop by soon So, I saw a VW on AutoTrader with an internet price of $14,000.00 with a disclaimer indicating "Price excludes registration, title fees and taxes". I also visited their website to verify the vehicle price. Before showing the car, they wanted a copy of my drivers license which I refused to produce until the vehicle price and all fees were disclosed. This led to a parade of a Manager (Ruben), General Manager (Shane) and 3 salesmen at the desk with Shane asking why I was upset??? I was then informed that the "internet price" did not include 10% of the "retail cost" as a down payment, Dealer Prep fees and Documentation fees. When I requested a tally of the fees and down payment numbers, somehow these numbers were not available unless they look at the sticker on the vehicle that was located in the Bronx where they offered to drive me. When some numbers were placed on paper, the retail price quickly written was in excess of $20,000.00 which means $2000.00 "down payment" bringing the cost from $14,000.00 to over $16,000.00 still without adding dealer prep, documentation fees and I HAD TO FINANCE the car rather than allowing me to pay cash at a quoted interest rate of 4.9% if my credit was excellent. This place is a scam, they then tried to bait me into purchasing a new car. At that point I walked out. This $14,000.00 car would have cost over $20,000.00 if I was to pay cash!
