After working with a local dealership, I knew what I wanted & the locals didn't have it. I found it here & bought my vehicle over the phone. They made the process of buying very easy & it was ready when wanted & the locals didn't have it. I found it here & bought my vehicle over the phone. Shady and deceptive practices — management misrepresented Kansas law to devalue my trade, and the sales team doubled down instead of making it right. Visited this dealership twice and was ready to buy a 2 Kansas law to devalue my trade, and the sales team doubled down instead of making it right. Visited this dealership twice and was ready to buy a 2025 Palisade Calligraphy if we could get close on numbers. During the trade-in evaluation, manager Josh “Jr” told me Kansas law required replacing tires over 5 years old before resale and used that to justify taking $1,000 off my trade value — then said he was “doing me a solid” by only deducting $500. I later checked KSA 8-1742a and confirmed there is no such law — it only prohibits selling unsafe or damaged tires, not based on age. This wasn’t a new salesperson making a mistake; this was a manager who should know better. Bailey kept pushing the same bad numbers in text messages even after I made it clear I wasn’t interested unless they could meet my offer. If they have the gall to lie about made-up laws to defraud trade value, what else are they lying to customers about? When I brought this up, they admitted it wasn’t true but scoffed it off as a misspeak. For a $50k+ purchase, I expected honesty and transparency. Instead, I left questioning how many other customers have been told the same thing and had their trades undervalued. Maybe it’s something the Kansas Attorney General’s office should take a closer look at. More
