The main issue was how the CPO pricing was presented. The $1,000 discount was what drew us into the deal. Art repeatedly confirmed that the vehicle was already certified, but later explained that taking the $1,000 discount meant removing the CPO benefits. We were then quoted around $2,100 to restore CPO, before ultimately being offered CPO again for about $1,000. By the end, we were essentially back at the original advertised deal, so the discount that attracted us had disappeared. What made this especially frustrating was that the warranty comparison was not explained clearly. We were repeatedly told about Hyundai Select having only a 90-day/5,000-mile powertrain warranty, but it was not clearly explained that this low-mileage 2024 vehicle would still retain the remainder of Hyundai’s transferable 5-year/60,000-mile factory warranty even without CPO, along with substantial separate EV warranty coverage. That information was very relevant to deciding whether paying extra for CPO made sense. Art also gave us confusing or incorrect information about Bluelink and the benefits associated with the certified vehicle, while simultaneously trying to sell an additional security package. Donna in finance was pleasant, but I also discovered afterward that our paperwork says we received the completed certified-used-vehicle inspection report, while I could not find that report anywhere in the digital documents we were given. I had to contact the dealership afterward to request the CPO inspection paperwork and warranty documentation. I became frustrated at the end and wanted to switch to the Select offering with the $1,000 discount, because that was when the pricing structure finally started to make sense to me. It probably looked like I was suddenly changing my mind, but I had only just realized that the original $1,000 discount had effectively disappeared. I would strongly recommend that anyone buying a certified vehicle here ask for a written breakdown of exactly what changes when a discount is offered, what factory warranty remains regardless of CPO status, and copies of all CPO inspection and warranty documents before signing. The car itself may be great, but the sales and paperwork process should have been much clearer. More
