Andrew took down all our information and said we could pick it up after work at 7pm. A few hours before we get a call that they sold the car to someone else. My wife was very disappointed and tried to call them to find out what happened. They pretended like we were still uncertain. They made excuses and made her cry. The were unwilling to admit they played any role in the mishap. Not once did they tell us that they could not hold the car for us -- quite the opposite. They never asked for a deposit or anything. Their insensitive attitude and inability to admit a mistake is the most frustrating. I feel their sales staff is shady and misleading. I would not trust a word they have to say. Now after reading several other reviews I understand that their reputation is poor and I suggest finding another dealership. Jim Faulk of Beverly Hills is the worst. More
03/2009 I purchased pre-owned 2008 Lexus from Jim Falk Lexus of Beverly Hills. Couple week later while the car was cleaned by a professional who installed clear-bra paint protection, a chunk of bumper's Lexus of Beverly Hills. Couple week later while the car was cleaned by a professional who installed clear-bra paint protection, a chunk of bumper's paint peel off. Contacted the dealer and complaint, salesperson claimed all pre-owned car at this dealer has reconditioning work prior selling to the market, he claimed the work is done by professional. He continued preowned car is sold ~as is~. Called body repair shop and got quotations for paint repair; estimate cost a few hundred bucks. Had great experiance with Kathryn in finance, it was quick and easy. Other than that, I am disappointed and still hard to believe that Jim Falk Lexus of Beverly Hills deals with crappy reconditioning professional. More
I purchased an 08 Toyota from this dealership today. I am in San Diego so I did all of my negotiating over the phone as we are almost 2hrs drive away. When I first called about the car I spoke to a gentl am in San Diego so I did all of my negotiating over the phone as we are almost 2hrs drive away. When I first called about the car I spoke to a gentlemen named Alex. I think a lot of the sales process depends on whether or not you "gel" with the sales person...Alex and I just didn't gel. He was very defensive when I tried to bring up comparisons to other similar vehicles I had found for cheaper and used "old school" overbearing sales tactics (i.e. answering a question with a question)that did not rub me the right way. At the end of my research I determined that I really liked the car, still had a few questions about it, but was very hesitant to call because I didn't want to deal with Alex. I called the dealership anyways and ended up speaking to Lea, Alex was not there that day. Lea was a pleasure and easy to talk and so we began the negotiating. Again, this was Tuesday this week and the soonest we could possibly get there was today, Saturday because we are 2 hours away. We agreed on a price. To make a long story short Lea ends up calling me on Thurs to tell me that the price is no longer valid because her GM would not approve it and the lowest he was willing to go would be $500 above the price we agreed on. Needless to say I was very frustrated and dissapointed. I mean what kind on reputable dealership does business this way? After much contemplating my husband and I still determined that the car was a great deal even at the higher price and decided to go for it. After meeting Lea in person it sort of softened the blow. She was just as friendly and easy to deal with and made the process very easy. Kathryn in finance was a "gem" with a great personality. She was able to find us fantastic financing and kept us lauging while she took our money :) Words of advice for this dealership: Check your numbers thoroughly before allowing your Sales person to agree on a price and keep Lea and Kathryn on board as they are true assets to the dealership. After several years of very good service, I had a horrible run in with the Sofi, the Sales Manger who refused to assist me with a telephone reprogramming problem that is unique to Verizon and Lexus. horrible run in with the Sofi, the Sales Manger who refused to assist me with a telephone reprogramming problem that is unique to Verizon and Lexus. He is in charge of who he will provide service to. I did not purchase my car there, but have had all of my service competed there for 3 years. I offered to pay for the service, but all he would tell me is next time buy your car here if you expect that kind of service. I have been more than happy with the service dept and just about everything else Lexus until this service issue with the sales manager developed. Both Kevin Weber (General Manger of Beverly Hills Lexus) and Lexus Corp should take stern measures to put this employee in his place. Actually, Sofi should be fired for his lack of customer care. As a side not I was going to purchase 2 new cars this year and both were going to be Lexus... now I doubt whether they will be Lexus at all from any dealer. Beverly Hills Resident More
By far one of the worst dealers in my opinion. The only time they are friendly is when you are about to be "surveyed" by corporate Lexus. I am not writing these comments based on one experience at this dea time they are friendly is when you are about to be "surveyed" by corporate Lexus. I am not writing these comments based on one experience at this dealership. I find they are constantly overcharging for the same produce other dealers charge less for. I brought in a car and was given an outrageous estimate close to $1000 for a repair to the dashboard. I declined and took it to another dealership who charged me less than $200 for the same work. Bottom line..... not to honorable. More
We purchased a 2008 RX350 in February 2008. On July 20th 2008 with only 3,100 miles on the vehicle my wife had a flat tire. I went to help change the tire. Upon lowering it we were astonished to find a well 2008 with only 3,100 miles on the vehicle my wife had a flat tire. I went to help change the tire. Upon lowering it we were astonished to find a well worn tire and rim. The tire was some 50% worn, with a sidewall gouge extending to the bead. The rim has been "curbed" thus marked, with heavy brake dust deposits on the inner side. Balance weight marks that had been removed in the past exist. As the spare is protected underneath the vehicle by a plastic cover. You can not inspect this item when you take delivery of your new vehicle. The Lexus Corporation have been entirely useless in helping us resolve this issue with Jim Falk Lexus. While the Lexus corporation advertising indicates they are in pursuit of perfection, we have found it to be just "lip service". It is obvious on a balance of probabilties that the tire was exchanged by person or persons unknown at the dealership. While Lexus did not build the vehicle this way, they should hold their franchise dealers to a higher standard under these circumstances. The Lexus experience has not been a wonderful experience today for us. More
I bought my Lexus three years ago and recently began receiving a barrage of letters talking about the end of my "lease." They are a sham! and... they're so busy sticking their pinkies out and putting their noses up in the air - they don't have time for CUSTOMER SERVICE. The guy ran my credit nine times to be malicious after pinkies out and putting their noses up in the air - they don't have time for CUSTOMER SERVICE. The guy ran my credit nine times to be malicious after I told him that I had closed a deal with Lexus Santa Monica. I went to Jim Falk because it's right by my house BUT I WILL NEVER GO THERE - not even for service. THEY SUCK! More
Unbelievable! I'm working in CA out of CO and wanted to check out the new RX330's for my wife. We're ready to buy. I get to the store about 6pm on a Saturday night and am met by this salesman (Avi). I a check out the new RX330's for my wife. We're ready to buy. I get to the store about 6pm on a Saturday night and am met by this salesman (Avi). I asked to see if they had ANY AWD Black w/ Ivory in stock. Without checking, he led me out the back door up some darkly lit steps to their small parking garage. He told me to get in a new RX330 and we drove out of the garage. Their lot is too small so they park their extra inventory behind the Beverly Hills Hilton (~1.5 miles away). Lucky I had my seat belt on because this guy drove like a maniac! Out on Willshire Blvd blowing the horn, flashing the high beams and passing cars that are stopped at redlights in the turn lanes! I'm not the most cautious driver in the world and this guy actually made me feel concerned if the air bags were going to be deployed! The whole time he's cussing like a sailor about traffic. Take a pill, dude! We get to the parking lot only to find no All wheel drive units even there and no black cars to boot. He decides to call back to the store (uh...great idea Sherlock). They do a search while I have to hold on for my life as we take a left turn at a "Right turn only" out onto Santa Monica Blvd. on a Saturday night! The short drive seemed like an hour at Mach 3! As we pull back into the dealership (~30 mph), he hits the curb really hard with the front right with the back right following after it, almost throwing me against the window. Holy sh#@! I'm glad that wasn't MY new car! We met with the manager to check on a black one but luckily they couldn't find one which gave me the chance to head for the door. I wouldn't buy a car from these people based solely on this salesman's unprofessionalism. The manager seemed to be fairly nice and easy to talk to but I won't go back. More
