Disappointed a loyal customer I have been a loyal customer at Jerry Ulm for years and have recommended many people to them. I was ready to buy new tires and they have a price match I have been a loyal customer at Jerry Ulm for years and have recommended many people to them. I was ready to buy new tires and they have a price match guarantee, supposedly. Called three different days to discuss the purchase and could not get anyone on the phone, also no return of my voicemail. Finally got a service tech on the phone and discussed the best quote I had, he asked several verification questions, I confirmed my quote had all the info he needed. He gave me a price over the phone and said if I brought that same quote in there would be no issue. So I made an appt with him and when I arrived made sure to see him directly. Waited 20 or more minutes past my appt time. I gave him the quote, he said it all looked good, he called his manager who I could hear on the phone telling him ways to raise the price, then he said he needed to show his manager the quote. After 10 minutes he came back and quoted me a price $390 higher than what we had agreed. I told him I did everything they asked, he said it looked good, and there is no reason I should not get what we agreed upon. He tried to give me some trumped up explanation of charges, I disputed it with him for 5 minutes and finally had to say that I would just find another dealer for all of my business. Only then did he honor the price. It is a shame because I have been coming to Jerry Ulm for years and have always had truly excellent service. However every bit of this experience with them was just like every car dealer cliche you’ve ever heard. I will likely give them another chance but I do not think I will continue recommending people to them, at least not without a disclaimer. More
