For the first visit, I didn’t have an appointment but decided I wanted to I’ve had two occasions to have my car serviced at this Nissan Servicecenter. Friendly people - Yes, Deceptive Bait and Switch - xxxx YES! The people I spoke with prior to driving 3 and 1/2 hours to test drive and potentially buy a pre-owned vehicle were very nice. I spoke with, e-mailed The people I spoke with prior to driving 3 and 1/2 hours to test drive and potentially buy a pre-owned vehicle were very nice. I spoke with, e-mailed, and texted with Charlie for a few days asking and double-checking about features that were not explicitly or clearly listed on their website regarding the vehicle I was interested in. He sent pictures and was very helpful in answering my questions. When I mentioned that I would be driving 3 and 1/2 hours the following day to see the vehicle in person, Charlie informed me that unfortunately, he would not be in the office, but Alan would be taking care of me. Odd, but ok. When I arrived, I met Alan, who seemed nice enough considering I was practically set on buying the car I had inquired about. Imagine my surprise when the car I was shown did not have a sunroof (although it was listed TWICE under the details on their website). When I told Alan that the Murano that I was there to see had a sunroof, he looked confused and told me that it did not. I pulled up the details of the vehicle along with the VIN number from their website on my phone and showed him that it most definitely says it has a sunroof. That is when Alan told me that he had a Platinum edition Murano that had a sunroof for a few thousand dollars more. Really??? I explained to Alan that I did not want to see his other vehicle. I had spent a significant amount of time communicating with someone about the the features of the Murano that was advertised and that is the vehicle I wanted. That is when I noticed the long scratch on the passenger's side door, the peeling paint on the roof racks, and that the interior of the vehicle was not very clean. When I mentioned these added things to Alan, he informed me that the dealership priced the vehicle to move and had already "put in thousands of dollars into it" and management didn't want to sell it at the price it was currently at anyway. I had heard enough. I wasn't sure what had been done to the vehicle before I saw it, but there wasn't evidence of thousands of dollars of work based on the glaringly obvious oversights I saw. When I made it clear to Alan (and the manager that he had me show their web ad to to convince them that it was listed the way I said it was), that I was not interested in the Nissan Murano that they were trying to sell me, Alan asked if there was anything else on the lot that he could show me. Just the door Alan, just the door. More
