After being fooled, I checked with my attorney who advised that it is actually a violation of federal law for a lender to require you to purchase such extra items and that VIN number etching usually costs about $10. Superior also charges a hefty $250 document fee to add additional profit. Due to this exploding scam (requiring etching) by many dealers, many states are now creating laws that limit the excessive etch fees by dealers. More

The car was exactly as described by phone, the transaction went smoothly, dealer fees were quite reasonable, and all in all I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. The sales staff and support personnel are quick to follow up by phone should any questions arise after the sale, and I'm quite sure that should I need another vehicle in the near future that I'll be checking back with Superior.
