I was in the market for a small SUV, had heard about the new Mazda CX-5, and had researched it online. In June 2012 I went to Jeff Schmitt Mazda to look them over in person and take one for a drive. That's new Mazda CX-5, and had researched it online. In June 2012 I went to Jeff Schmitt Mazda to look them over in person and take one for a drive. That's when I met Jesse Tenney. Jesse provided lots of information about the CX-5 and the various trims, then accompanied me on a test drive of the Sport manual transmission model. I loved it, but wanted to think about the trim options. He gave me his card. No pressure. Later that week I went back, met with Jesse again, and drove the Touring model. I liked the backup camera option and additional color choices available. Came very close to buying that day. I had already obtained some internet pricing from competitors. Jesse worked with me on price, but he never pressured me to buy. At that point I still needed some time to consider, so I walked away, but knew that when I was ready, it was Jesse I wanted to work with. Two months later I was ready. Jesse found me the Sport manual model in Liquid Silver that I wanted in Chicago. We negotiated a mutually acceptable price, and I signed on the dotted line. When it came time to pick up my new CX-5, Jesse picked me up from my home in a '12 silver Miata for a fun little drive back to the dealership. He told me he knew I would love that because he had seen my '94 Miata. He was right! During this whole process, everyone at Jeff Schmitt treated me with nothing but warmth and courtesy. Jesse in particular was amazing to deal with. Jesse is exceptionally customer oriented and very knowledgeable. He was always courteous to me, answering all questions, and made sure I had all the information I needed to make my final decision. I would not hesitate to recommend Jeff Schmitt Mazda, and especially Jesse Tenney, for anyone looking for a car, new or used. I couldn't be happier with my CX-5. My son was in the area for a ten-week internship. We purchased a low-mileage used Mazda Protege for his use. When we arrived, we found that the muffler had rusted and needed to be replaced (with cataly purchased a low-mileage used Mazda Protege for his use. We could not have asked for anyone more helpful. We especially appreciated her attentiveness to getting the car fixed so we could return home. When we returned ten weeks later, we learned that the check engine light was on just as we were ready to leave the area. So back to Jeff Schmitt Mazda. Once again Shonda was SO helpful, arranging to get the gas cap seal from another dealer so we could be on our way as soon as possible. The service department carefully checked the car to make sure that it was safe to drive. Our family was very thankful to have such a wonderful experience, especially when we were out of town. More
