It's been a very long time since I bought a new car. Partly, this is due to that fact that I'm thrifty (ok... my wife says 'cheap') but also because I grew to really dislike the new car buying experien Partly, this is due to that fact that I'm thrifty (ok... my wife says 'cheap') but also because I grew to really dislike the new car buying experience. I found this dealership to be totally different. We were ready to close a deal on another manufacturers small SUV when I decided to stop by Irvine Subaru for a final comparison. I met Daniel who I found to be very low-key but very helpful at the same time. Basically, I sold myself on a new Forester. We searched the lot looking for the exact color and features i wanted. Unfortunately, they didn't have one available. Still, the experience was so pleasant that I returned the next day. Daniel suggested that Dustin might be able to find one that was in transit - which he did in about 5 minutes. It took about the same amount of time to agree on a purchase price (which I think was a very fair one). We closed the deal on a handshake basis. I put down a $500 deposit and settled in for a 2-month wait (or 3... or 4 since the Foresters are in very high demand.) Dustin and Daniel were very up front about the likely wait time. To my surprise, I received a call 4 days later telling me my car had arrived. (They were as surprised as I was.) On returning to finish the deal I didn't really know how our handshake deal would hold up. Guess what? It was exactly as we had agreed. I would not hesitate to recommend Irvine Subaru to a close friend or family member. Also, kudos to George for helping us out when we went for our test drive. Daniel wasn't able to be there so George covered for him. I'll bet you don't see that happen at most dealers! One more thing: If you are a member of School's First FCU, Irvine Subaru in one of their 'Fast Track' dealers - meaning that they can handle the financial stuff on-line with the credit union for you. Very handy. More

The service department has the lowest prices compared to the other Subaru Deal Inventory I've seen in 3 states, and are incredibly helpful and nice. We had a 'famous' vibration issue with our Outback 2011 and were almost hopeless having read numerous sad stories in the Internet. The friendly service department provided a car replacement for the time of a service (a week). Every day they notified us on the car status - and they have fixed it! Please search the Internet, it seems mechanic Ed is the *first* one who found the real cause of the vibration issue and fixed it. They replaced the torque converter for free (warranty, yes) and opened the case with SOA. We're happy again - our Outback drives like new! It's great that such knowledgable mechanics are working at Irvine Subaru. More

I bought an Outback after doing alot of research on the car and using the Consumer Report Car Price service, as well as looking at Kelly Blue Book online pricing. Great service department. A little unorganized because they are busy, but they seem to handle it fine.
