One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a car dealershi My intention was to go and test drive a 2019 Chevy Colorado in order to compare it to a Tacoma and Ridgeline I had already driven. I told them upfront that I wasn’t going to do the dog and pony show where the salesman goes back and forth with his superiors before finally coming back with a negotiable price. I just wanted their best offer upfront. Eduardo Ramirez, the salesman, took me for a test drive, clearly pointing out all the features of the Colorado. When we got back to the dealership, he was very low key in his sales approach and easy to deal with- no high pressure tactics. I was given a very fair value for my trade-in right away, which made coming to an agreement on purchase price fairly easy. Next step was meeting with Ahmad Al-Jallad, the Business Manager about financing. We were very honest with each other, and when I told him his first effort was not going to work (I had walked out of a previous meeting at another dealership over the same APR), Ahmad continued to work at ways of getting me a better rate. He showed a lot of respect towards my position, as I did with his efforts. We finally came to an agreement, and the deal was done. I must say, this is the first time I have felt really good about coming to a deal on a new vehicle, and I have done many over fifty years. More
